First C7 Ticket??
Any time a corvette is in or close to its power band at wide open throttle is considered reckless driving on public roads. I guess we should all be happy with a 4 cylinder 150hp corvette? After all we dont want anyone hurting themselves.
Have a nice day
I also have the remote display, so if they are behind me, they never see blinking lights on my dashboard to give away that I have a detector.
You might think it's BS, but in NJ, In 1 week I got stuck behind 1 C3 driving 30 in a 50mph 2 lane road.
I saw a brand new C6 driven by someone going 20 in a 35mph zone (after being stuck for 5 miles, he pulled into the retirement community)
Then In Foxwoods, There was a c5 that pulled onto a 50mph road doing 20mph. I passed him with my subaru and when I looked back he was about a mile back before I turned to get on the highway.
That is just 1 week's example. (Oh, and I didn't see any other Corvettes that week)
Out of all the Corvettes I see on the roads most are "cruising" around rather than being "driven" around like a high performance vehicle.
You can call it BS if you want, but the Corvette has a stigma of being an old person's car. Here's an article:

Granted every individual is different and there are 60 year olds (the average age of a Corvette owner) that have more skill than I ever will, but the older age group (65+) is just as likely to cause an accident as young drivers.

Honestly, I never thought I'd by a Corvette, but the C7 showed up at the right time and at the right price. I missed being able to order a 2013 BMW M3 . I didn't find any left over stock that I wanted so then I looked at the whole car playing field (Lotus, Porsche, GT-R etc...) and I focused in on the C7 and bought one. I'm glad I did, I love the car.
And I'm doing what I can to help change the stigma by driving the car as much as I can, talking to people if they ask about it, and driving it as opposed to cruising in it and blocking traffic.
I was riding with my brother in his brand new C5. We were screaming down the interstate. Life was good.
Then the blue lights came on. We were busted.
We pull over, Officer Buck walks to the car, my brother sheepishly rolls down the window, and Officer Buck asks "Would you like to explain why you were driving so slowly on the Interstate?"
Because the owner's manual says to keep it under 60mph during break-in!

EDIT: Getting lots of PM's regarding what mods I have. So far it is mostly stock, but I have added Pfadt Longtube headers with the Pfadt performance tune. I'll be adding a camshaft and heads as soon as some vendors get back to me on prices/specs.

You obviously ran into three pokey guys driving Corvettes, but you imply you never get equally frustrated by folks driving Cadillacs, M-Bs, Subarus and other marques.
In 57 years of driving, I've been frustrated by slow vehicles (usually trucks, an occasional piece of farm equipment, or someone who can't drive their sedan well) on two lane roads. None of the vehicles have ever been a sports or performance car driven by anyone of any age. Not once.
Sucks to live where you do.

It's fine that you don't care about the stigma, but It's a good thing the folks at Chevy do. With new (buyers that would have bought other sports cars) and younger buyers, it will help the Corvette team build the case within Chevy to keep making them.
I wasn't implying that I don't get frustrated at other brands that slow traffic, you are assuming that.
Yes I see the Cadillacs, M-Bs, Subarus and other marques slowing traffic and it's annoying, but it's rarely the sports or performance versions holding everyone up.
Yup, sometimes it sucks to live where I am, but I'm close enough to the track to actually test the performance of my vehicles, so It's worth it.
I'm sure we can go round and round with this, but It's time to take my C7 out for a drive.

We are both fortunate to have ready access to a track or tracks to drive on.

In my area, the Autobahn is closest at 36 miles, but Blackhawk Farms, Road America, Putnam Park and Grattan Raceway are within easy driving distance. RA is the toughest to get on. Drive safe and enjoy.
I worked for PD for three years...I know what goes on. We had officers making more than the Chief because of how much traffic they did. I know a guy that is a cop in my town where my shop is...his base salary is 78k/yr and he is on track to make 138k this year from traffic. The township will buy him any vehicle he asks for...he wanted a motorcycle...he got it....he wanted an unmarked to hide...he got it....it's about money, not safety. If it were about safety, they'd sit on the side of the road with their roof lights on...everyone would slow down...that's proactive....
route. The Escort learns the false's and blocks them. Also has the network of all Escort Live user's which is getting bigger now.
Plus it ties to the anti laser unit.
This trumps direction. I lift the gas when it goes off. Few hundred
feet back in the range. Here it's 10 over your ok!
