museum delivery
I think this post answers your other questions.
The reasoning is, there hasnt been an increase in the delivery cost in 12 years. In addition, the museum is not the recipient of the entire fee, as some may believe...GM obtains a portion. With the increase from 490 to 990, the museum will benefit further.
The plaque is "mandatory", if that's how you want to view it. Essentially, the plaque should be valued as a piece of memorabilia from the experience.
The destination fee remains, but this has nothing to do with GM or NCM, this is a mandatory fee. Lori Bieschke, Delivery Dept Manager, had to pay the same destination fee and ncm fee as anyone else would.
The bottom line, is it's a fantastic experience and it supports the museum. The museum is here for all to enjoy, and allows experiences no other car or manufacturer do. Yes, the price went up, but so do utilities, so do salaries, so do overhead costs, etc. To make the experiences like this possible, we all need to do our part.
Many people donate money to the museum for the sake of donation, with museum delivery you get a great experience for your dollar! Do it, enjoy it, and feel proud you did so!
