I installed a Z06 exhaust on my C6 and utilized the vacuum lines instead of the mild to wild switch. It works fine for me. I am looking at buying at C7 and interested in the NPP exhaust. Please correct me if I am wrong.
My understanding is that it opens two valves in 4 cylinder mode to block out the 4 cylinder sound so the car sounds like a normal eight cylinder.
In normal eight cylinder driving; you can pick various increases in sound as you choose driving modes: touring, sport or track. From what I have read on the forum some members are not happy with the sound. If you nail the go pedal in touring or sport setting is the sound as loud as with the C6 with NPP ?
Looking at the C7 is it possible that the new electronic NPP works I differently in the 4 cylinder mode and then also works from closed to fully open in the various driver modes
I probably would not buy the NPP again. I just don't need it to be loud around town..or any other time. I like the stealth quiet mode....
I really like the way my stock exhaust system sounds on HEAVY acceleration. I had my share of louder exhaust cars in my life. It's your guys' turn. Enjoy
I don't have a disconnect with my NPP, works perfectly here. I had BB Bullets on the C6 and my wife refused to ride in the car so I went with NPP this time around. A "me" mode and a "wife" mode.
I'm with you ! My sound level and her sound level, perfect. Used to have a 66' vert with 427 and side exhaust. She would not get in at all. Fixed...
Had Corsa in my last Vette but went with the NPP to keep factory stock and loud. I am sure glad I ordered it. Keep it open all the time. Sounds perfect and no drone. I hate drone.
