2lt is the ticket.
the HEAD UP DISPLAY {HUD} is something she will love.
and the heated seats, in MN? no brainer, even if they arent 5000 btu, they make a difference on a cold day.

While you don't think she'll be using many of the additional options, I suspect that she (and you when you drive it) in fact will... Memory is a great feature for two drivers, even if it is only occasionally, the auto-dim feature is great, and the audio and cosmetic features are nice additions. Couple those reasons with those previously stated regarding the seat and HUD features and it is well worth it. She will appreciate it.

And you can get extra bonus points when you show that you didn't scrimp to save a few bucks!

I'm only basing this on a test drive, but I drove a 3LT on a warm day (with a clear roof) and I turned on the cooler (really just a fan, no AC) and it worked much better than I expected.

My wife is always going between being too hot/cold - my first thought was that she'll love these seats.

I have a 3lt. My seats work fine. Plus I have to agree heads up display is cool. You'll like the car more with these goodies.

Is the HUD on the C7 the same as on the C6? I took the driving course at Spring Mountain in 2008 and drove a Z06 with HUD. I'm 6'3" and I found it useless, it wasn't very clear and I had to squat down in the seat to even see it. It was a total distraction as compared to a glance at the instrument panel. From that experience I'm leaning towards the 1Lt and spending the money on NPP and MRC since I'm buying for performance and weekend track driving.

It ain't the about money. It's the "thought" you put into it. No wife ever thanked her husband for saving money on the present he bought for her.

If money is not a big object, then the 2 LT package is probably worth it. For myself, I would save the $4200 and just go with 1 LT. The 1 LT comes with many more items versus the C6 Corvette including... Bluetooth, back up camera, Bose 9 speaker stereo, power tilt telescopic wheel, dual 8 way power driver and passenger seats. I could live quite fine without the 2 LT package....but money IS an object to me!

C7 is color display. angle is adjustable. i am 6-2 and never had a problem on the c6. perhaps you can see a c7 floor model or sold car just to see the HUD.

love the 2LT ... many extra options as detailed before me. I live in FL and I also have a Lexus but the cooling seats in the C7 are fantastic and better than the lexus. 2LT with all the extras are worth the money.

All good opinions BUT you need to decide what your wife wants!!! First where do you live? If in Fl yea it's different stokes down there. For my wife a HUD..... she could care less..... but got to have heated seats.

To your original ? they don't get hot like some previous cars. I don't think any car gets that hot anymore. The cooling is a fan under the seats that circulates air under the seats up thru the perforations. So if it is 110 in the car..... turning on the seats starts to work when the A/C gets the car down to a reasonable temp.

Sounds you are not worried about resale, take that off the list.

It's hard sometimes to pay for stuff we see no value in, happens everyday........ I mean every resturant we visit we make that decision.

If the heated seats where the only thing you want in the 2lt package....... There are aftermarket alternatives. And no I am not talking some heating pad plugged into the lighter. Any reputable upholstory shop can installed heated panels into your stock seats.

Good thing is......... you can't make a bad decision here.!!

More is better.
However, age 50 is too young for the Vette demographic. Youngsters need a Porsche 911, BMW M6 or Jag F-Type.

Since you live in "Minnesnowta" and because your wife has another primary vehicle to drive, I would save the approx $4,000+ and get the 1LT version ( and save roughly 8% on purchase price).

I have a nearly new, very low mileage, AW 2012 Coupe with black interior. It is the third car in our two driver household. It is a 1LT version. It is simply a "fun" car and I suspect your wife's car will be that too.

Given the adverse winters in the Great White North, she will not be driving the C7 in the winter. It will probably be put into hibernation in the Fall, as I did to my C4 when living in Michigan. Your summers are no warmer than mine in Texas, so the issue of ventilated seats, is but a pricey luxury. The black cockpit in my Coupe in the heat of a Texas summer is quite comfortable with A/C only, without seat ventilation.

I doubt your wife would use the HUD and the other minor amenities are nice...some might be purchased as accessories (cargo cover/net, etc).

I suspect your wife will be extremely appreciative of her birthday present and be completely blown away by her new C7, without regard to its 1LT or 2LT interior appointments.

Awesome that you can do this for her...

^^ Well said. As a fellow Minnesotan with a DD with all the goodies, I decided to order a 1LT on the stingray. I had a C6 Z06 with HUD and heated seats and quite honestly I never used it enough to make it worth 4k in the stingray. If I would DD drive the thing I think I would appreciate the amenities, but out for a joy ride cruise in the summer with the top off its just not important to me.

Cooled seats work so well that I turn them off when it gets too cool. Really.

Too funny, we don't fit the demographic!- we also have a 911 convertible. This present was going to be a 2014 Porsche for her but while many think it I'm trying to be cheap I have 6 cars (including the best super car a 2011 Subaru!) and know that this one is really only going to be driven every once in a while and she not really getting into the HUD thing. She just got a new BWT 535xi GT with HUD in a package (N/C for BMW) and one night she said its "nice" but really couldn't see spending money for it.

Really wasn't trying to save money-more to see if the seats heaters and cooling is effective- I heard on this forum that the seats really don't work well.

Good point on the set heaters- I like the HUD but I don't think she will really appreciate it as much as others might. I did have after market seat heaters added to my winter car (2011 Subaru) and they work great and looks factory so that may be the ticket.

I was going to go 2LT for the interior color options but when we looked at it on another customers car it was clear black was our color. It will be a surprise to her as she thinks I was just "filing" time looking at the car but she is actually reading my car mags that highlight the car so I know she likes it. I too like the car and I have to admit I'm really, really impressed with what I saw!

Since most women like heated seats, I'd get the 2LT. Mine work fine and I really like the cooling feature.
PS: My wife just turned 50 and she loves her stock '50 Ford Custom 2dr! She hasn't even driven our C7 yet.
