It means none of those are highly projected to be available for the build during the TPWs between 12/16 through 1/5... so if your order lands in that TPW range and your order includes at least one of those constraint items, then it will be further delayed (not built in that TPW) and queued up in line. You will sit at status 3300 (or back down to 3000).
Just when they wanted to ramp up C7 convertible production they are suddenly out of all coup roofs - except the glass roof (least ordered option). Is it just good planning on their part or a pure coincidence?
I too was under the impression that once you reach the status of 3000, you are clear of all constraints. Is that not true?
ITS SUPPOSE TO BE THAT WAY...we are seeing evidence it is not true...its true that your orders allocation is released which is half the battle...new orders waiting to go in, cannot get pulled under a constraint!

Rick, I watched your video today. Good stuff. Also, thank you for clarifying that 3000 is supposed to mean that you won't get tied up in constraints, but that it isn't 100% for sure.
Wow it looks like there won't be any invoice pricing anytime soon. I remember a few people saying by December there would be tons of corvettes flooding the market. Most of us said no way and you better order ASAP @ MSRP + use your GM card before it's to late. This is meant for the very few Corvette people who know it all. These cars are so great you might have to cough up some cash and get in line.
Rick,
What do "you" estimate the delivery date of the 5 Z51 cars that you can order today?
Al
They will be built by 1/8 (could be earlier, although with the 12/19-1/2 shutdown not likely), so they should be delivered in 10 days or less after that (by 1/18)
I dont understand this. I thought that the general explanation on this forum was that once you've reached 3000, you're in the clear from constraints.
As Rick said, at 3000 the parts have been allocated and your order has been accepted. Does that mean BG has all of the parts to build your order? NO
The parts can be delivered late, or rejected when received. At 3300 the production is scheduled and the parts should be on hand at the plant, however if they need the parts on an earlier queued build and have to "borow" from the future build inventory, your order can slide back to 3000. I think at 3400 your build is headed down the line and good-to-go if not held for QC.
My Z51, AE4, C2Z, FAY order was accepted and at 3000 on 10/29. It sat there until today when it went to 3300. My TPW is 12/2 with an estimated completion date of 12/5.
Now I just have to decide if I realy want to go to BG the week before Christmas.

Paragraph 2 - if at 3300 and "scheduled" why no TPW or VINs declared on current allocated orders? Part borrowed?
