That's a great honest response with out the new thread attacks and looking for a fight. Very well said.

Had my car 6 weeks. It's been pretty great. Minor 1st year issues and pretty much everything is software and easy to fix. However, fit and finish, especially the physical stuff, is really top notch.

Is the fit and finish getting better now with the latest 2014's?

Yep, get that perfect finish and a stone will end it then and there. I am happy with a decent dirt free job.

My vin is 2895. I haven't seen any other C7s to compare mine to, so I would have no basis for that comparison.

IMO, if the car looks nice, that's good enough. I plan to run the heck out of it in wind, rain, dust, snow -- you name it. A little orange peel is meaningless.

Drips and flaking off paint though are not to be tolerated though. You have to draw the line there.

Those gaps are 1000 percent better than either of my 458's.

My Lime Rock green C7 seems very well put together. There is some orange peel, but not enough to whine about.

My paint is as good as I had on my 458. Fit as finish is not quite as good. The panel below the bottom on the door is not aligned as well as it could be. It sticks out beyond the bottom of the door slightly.

In no way IMO has GM passed the qualitative benchmark with this new release! It really surprises me that "car guys" would be accepting of the numerous shortcomings be it finish or mechanical. I'm in the new car business and we never have infotainment or fit/finish problems, and we are selling alot less expensive product than a so called flagship vehicle. I guess with every C7 comes your own flavor of Kool Aid!

Please tell us what product you are selling that you NEVER have an infotainment or fit/finish problem

Acura, and in fairness maybe "never" was too extreme. I will tell you this though, it's a rare occassion that those things happen, and I mean rare.
