Default Cargo space

Is the cargo space of the C7 smaller than the C6? From what I have been able to look up the C6 was 22cu ft and the C7 is 15cu ft.

22 minus 15 + 7 Yes the carge space is smaller in the C-7 vs the C-6. Next question!

Just a little bit smaller, but, noticeable.

When I was at Laguna Seca, I had a chance to measure the cargo area. I was curious about the luggage capacity of the C7 compared to the C6. It looks similar, but that's not good enough. So, lacking a ruler, I used the only precise instrument I could find - a brochure. From the back wall to the bulkhead behind the seats, it was 3 brochures plus a little. It turns out the brochure was 11 3/4 inches. So the length is 36". My C6 front to back is about 37" (the back wall has some bulges). The width of the C7 between wheel wells was 42 1/2". My C6 is 41 3/4". After extensive calculations and analysis, I have determined that the luggage capacity is essentially the same. (Note: the area inside the C6's bulging rear window does add some more space, but I don't stack things that high.)

What I heard was that they used to include the area under the window, but for the C7 they don't.

No its significantly smaller. In all directions including height.

Here is a loyds mat I had in my C5 I use to protect the car when I haul my golf clubs. It is tighter and laps the C7 edges on all 4 sides.

I used this mat in my c6... was a little snug but nothing like the C7.
