Base Corvette Performance Testing?
Has any magazine or other source performance tested a base C7 Coupe?
There are a ton of Z51 tests out there, but I haven't been able to locate one for the base coupe.
I am curious as to how much faster a Z51 is to 60, 100 & 1/4 mi; how much better it corners; and how much shorter it stops?
Why - because I am thinking if there isn't a huge performance penalty, I might get a base coupe instead of the Z51 I am planning to take delivery of in April.

IIRC there are a few road tests or test drives already but I don't have the sites bookmarked. I wouldn't worry though... the non-Z51 can be just as fast (or arguably even faster) in straight arrow shots whether to 60, 100, the 1/4, etc. The Z51 will handle better & stop sooner but the non-Z can still hit 1G and stop just a few feet further than the Z version. Basically, we're still talking about topnotch handling & braking specs. They all use Brembo calipers too.
