Default 2lt vs 3lt interior

I will be ordering black interior and I would like opinions on 2lt vs 3lt packages. I have compared the two packages side by side and know that I will have to add navigation with the 2lt.

I ordered 2LT but only because I chose black as interior color. In my opinion, only the color combination on the 3LT with colors different than black makes sense to spend the extra $4,000 (if you add the nav is less of course). Beisdes that, I guess you get "nicer" leather and lumbar support, and the possibility to add microfiber to the upper trim, which is indeed nice.

It is personal preference, but I would not spend a dime more on 3LT if I were ordering black interior. Hope this helps. I have had mine for 2 months and I havent even thought about that dilemma anymore. The big change is from 1LT to 2LT, and from non-Z51 to Z51. Either way you go, it will be a great car. Enjoy!

My understanding is that the leather is of a higher quality in 3LT. But, in an all black car interior car... I think it's questionable given the cost.

Thanks for the insights. I'm sure the difference in leather is probably not noticeable.

I got the 1LT in black for $8k less than the 3LT. Looks wise it's hard to tell the difference and comfort wise no difference. It's your money but the Z51 and NPP are a must.

You're saying the 2LT lack lumbar support? I don't believe that is true, is it?

What is the difference in interiors between a Base Stingray and a Z-51?

Not a valid question . Which Z51 ? 1LT Z51, 2LT Z51 or 3LT Z51.

If I was getting black int then the 2LT WITHOUT the nav would be fine.

For equal trim levels, 1 2 or 3, not a thing. Z51 is all mechanical, tires, and aero (additional coolers, spoiler and lack of center air dam.)

I went with the 2LT and navigation. The 2LT has all the goodies I want; HUD, heated/cooled power adjustable seats, upgraded radio with HD. I personally place the 2LT over performance exhaust (NPP).

My 3LT in black looks great and it smells of leather not plastic. I am glad I spent the extra 3000 every time I get into it. Every time.

There just wasn't enough offered with the 3LT to justify the added expense. I'm sure the difference is readily apparent when viewing side by side. There is a point where I curtailed options to keep the price from going into the stratosphere. I want to enjoy this car and when abrasion starts to show trade on another new one (the new look starts to tarnish around 15/20,000 miles or three years). Ordered: Night Race Blue base convertible, manual transmission, 2Lt, navigation.

I do feel the wings adjustment, but not the lumbar support really. I will have to play more with it. I have only been able to drive it 1,200 miles. Free time is not on my side these days Sorry for the misleading information. But that makes my argument even stronger

I had Nappa leather on my last BMW and isnt much different than the one the 2LT has. I was going to go 3LT when I was considering red interior, but went 2LT since I got black. I wasn't certainly going to pay extra $3,000 plus for something that has the same functionality, looks the same and almost feel the same. It would probably make sense if I drove naked in my car

Although my C7 is just in the order pipeline, from the online videos I’ve seen, the adrenaline red interior I ordered is just too overpowering in the 3LT version. I prefer the more subdued look of the 2LT but that’s simply an opinion. I seriously doubt that you get your money’s worth in the interior upgrade of the 3LT. Don

The 3LT is definitely worth it for people who think upgraded materials are worth it. Yes, even in black. Maybe you all don't notice high-end black leather on the dash, doors, and instrument panel, but I do.

The price is much less than what you would pay for the same materials on a German car -- a real bargain.

There's nothing wrong with being happy with the non-upgraded materials, but that's just not how I roll.
