GM has just released a software update to fix some of the luminescent issues at dusk and dawn that have affected the brightness of the Instrument Cluster. 4 total Modules are affected. My servicing dealer (Carfagno Chevrolet) has already completed the update which was officially released today. Many thanks to Joe Burns at Carfagno and Kelly J at Chevrolet CS for getting me in so quickly and efficiently. Great service all around! I will post feedback tonight with the results.
Super, please let us know your experience. I heard it would be next Monday.

So glad I came across this thread. I am sitting in the waiting room getting an oil change and the car looked at. I just ran over to Steve, my service advisor and asked him to add this to the to-do list.
It is silly that the dealer must be the one to apply this update while other systems like Ford's SYNC can be updated by the owner with just a USB stick.
This is a legitimate question, not a "barb" or criticism.
With all the pre-production testing, with many different drivers and an extensive fleet of test cars, how does an obvious ergonomic oversight like this get missed? Did not one of those drivers ever notice this?

The people that have cases with me will be getting a call from their dealerships regarding this fix. Sorry Cruiter, I did not have a chance to update you yet, I just got word.
If anyone would like me to start a case for them, please let me know. I do have the information in front of me now.
You will need to PM me with your name, address, VIN, phone number, mileage and the name of your dealership. I am more than happy to reach out to your dealership and help!
