Default Chrome vs. Silver Painted Wheels

I am finalizing my order and am stuck between the chrome or silver painted wheels. I am getting the Z51 package in Cyber Gray and am leaning toward chrome. Please give me some assistance to the pros and cons of each. Is one easier to keep clean, or is one finish more delicate ect... I have never had chrome wheels, they just seam to really pop where the painted look a bit dull.
Thanks
Eric

I have had both and I prefer the pop of the chrome. The painted wheels are no slouch, for sure. They can shine as well, but chrome is chrome.

Chrome gives to much bling and pulls your eye defeating the impact of the design. Your choice, I went with silver wheels.

I personally think Silver wheels are the only way to go for this car, I hate black wheels and Chrome wheels are so 90's. They are super easy to clean as well. Here are some pics of them on my car.

Chrome wheels do not belong on a sports car unless you also have seat covers and fuzzy dice. You will not find them offered as an option on the higher end sports cars. If you want chrome wheels you most likely have white belts and shoes in your wardrobe.

I hate chrome, except on Harley's. They just seem old school to me, but to each his own.

I only had 1.5 hrs to use my allocation and in a hurry I defaulted for the Chrome. If I would have had more time, I would have gone with the painted rims and used the $1,995. for a good set of aftermarket rims.

I really liked the black rims in the early months of looking at the C7's, but I got tired of them pretty quick.

Not a senior but it's chrome all the way the only wheel that makes any car of any color pop.

Got the Crystal Red with the chrome rims.

Saying that even with surprisingly much negativity about chrome rims in this thread.

But I would not ever change that if I had the chance to do so. For some, the $2k additional cost may be a hurdle...if it is, by all means get a cheaper set of wheels! That's why we have choices!

But I love the looks of my CRMT C7 with the chrome rims, and I have YET to have a NON-Corvette owner tell me that they be fugly! Perhaps I am now running with a tougher crowd?

When you pull up behind me, you will be following the RED JET.

See ya!!!

Your car looks great.... silver wheels and all.

And chrome wheels are so 90's... and 50's, 60', 70's, 80's, 00's. I think they look great on this car, especially on the darker colors.

Each to his own.

I have seen 2 Cyber Gray C7's and one had chrome the other did not. The one that did not seemed so plain. The chrome made the Cyber Gray pop.

I'm 53 and like the chrome better, but I also like the silver and agree with the agrument for applying the $2k toward aftermarket rims.
