Talk about childish....

This was not a bad decision on my part as I was basing my order off of a previous experience. I was also not able to find a machine faced wheel to view prior to placing my order. The fact that GM is charging $1500 for a wheel option that no one can tell apart from the base wheel is the issue.

Thats right, keep blaming them instead of taking responsibility for your own actions. If you couldn't find one to see, why order it as a $1500 option?

The wheel looks fine for OEM. Def. not worth the price they're charging for the "upgrade".

Most machined face wheels have black inserts like the pics by gmwindsor. That's what they should have done with this wheel

The base wheels should be replaced to begin with. They just look awful for the C7 ...

GM should give the buyer a $1,500 credit for taking those wheels.

They should have cut a much better looking wheel... Especially since its for the C7.

Heck, they should have just offered C6 spiders for the base wheel.. it would look much better with the C7's new design than the base wheel they are offering now.

My favorite aftermarket wheels on the C7 are HRE S101 and P101...

Here's a photo Jesterissimo posted a while back (great looking wheel)...

If you dont wanna go all out for HRE... C6 Spiders have a similar look and they would be a great replacement for C7 base wheels (if they fit)...

And available in Comp. Grey.

I sometimes wonder if that wasn't in the back of GM's mind. Having the Z51 wheels look so much better had to help boost sales.

I got the machined face wheels and I had to look hard at them to distinguish them from base wheels. They are a major rip off, as is the fact that I paid almost $1000 for a transparent top I don't want or like.

Ox...I've been watching this forum for many months and have often enjoyed your comments and knowledge........

But this time I just think you are being a d*ck, plain and simple.

GM is at fault here for selling a $1500 wheel that is almost identical to the stock wheel. If the guy didn't have a legit point why would the dealer have taken care of him like they did?

Stop being a d*ck in this case.

Pretty easy to see the difference in colors. When the pictures of these wheels were posted by a forum member months ago along with pictures of the painted wheels, many could not tell the difference. I've seen them in person at a dealer and unless one looks at them from the correct angle, it is impossible to tell that they are machined. GM should be ashamed of itself. ymmv

The wheels look great to me but not worth $1,500. I personally like the looks of the black Z51 wheels for $495 better.

My dealer does not have any C7s in stock so i had to order mine without seeing them in person. I eventually found another dealer that had about 10 in stock and I am happy with the decision to order the black wheels.
