I don't do vinyl on my cars and the factory stinger stripe is vinyl. I had my Carbon Flash stinger stripe painted. They "buried" the edges with clear coat. Cost me $350 and it looks and feels perfect.
On a VY C7 either stripe, vinyl or paint, would look great. My 2 cent opinion...do it!
I like it as it ties the hood vent to the windshield and eliminates the vent "swimming" in the hood color. The chev stripe is $500 and a total waste of money. "They say" it's because it has paint on it and matches better. Hogwash, it's vinyl. I have had my vinyl side by side with a premier edition and they are exactly the same.
You can get the stinger stripe from Vette FX, a vendor here, and take it to a wrap shop and get it applied professionally all for about $275. A much better deal than what chev wants..
If you have a light color with other black accents (wheels or mirrors, top etc.), it really goes with the look. I went with VetteFX as well knowing that it can always be removed later.
True, nothing on trade. However 4 or 6 years of havign the car exactly how I want it, its a small price.
My thought too. I don't care what it costs and if it is worth anything if I trade the car. As long as it makes the car how I want it. I had the windows tinted for that same reason.
