Default Stinger Stripe or Not?

I need help on deciding to put a Stinger Stripe on my C7 Velocity Yellow Coupe.

Here are pictures with and without. The pictures are of a convertible but mine is a coupe:

Yes or No?

Thanks.

That is a purely a matter of personal taste. Some will like it, some will not. I personally do not like the stinger stripe, but that is not relevant as the only thing that matters is if you like it or not.

I'm leaning toward adding one on my VY. Go for it, live with it a while, and if you decide you don't like it, just peel it off.

You can't go wrong either way. I think I would add it, but if you are unsure you can always easily add one later.

I originally was not a fan, but was convinced to put it on by friends and such...love it.

I don't do vinyl on my cars and the factory stinger stripe is vinyl. I had my Carbon Flash stinger stripe painted. They "buried" the edges with clear coat. Cost me $350 and it looks and feels perfect.

On a VY C7 either stripe, vinyl or paint, would look great. My 2 cent opinion...do it!

I like it as it ties the hood vent to the windshield and eliminates the vent "swimming" in the hood color. The chev stripe is $500 and a total waste of money. "They say" it's because it has paint on it and matches better. Hogwash, it's vinyl. I have had my vinyl side by side with a premier edition and they are exactly the same.

You can get the stinger stripe from Vette FX, a vendor here, and take it to a wrap shop and get it applied professionally all for about $275. A much better deal than what chev wants..

Side by side Chev stringer vs Vette FX:

If you have a light color with other black accents (wheels or mirrors, top etc.), it really goes with the look. I went with VetteFX as well knowing that it can always be removed later.

I like the look but am not sure why it's called a stinger stripe.

The '63-'67's had true 'Stinger' hoods but the C7 hood is not even close to being a Stinger by any stretch of the imagination.
