GM has manufactured 10,000 units and initial problems should be solved. If history repeats, referring to the C6, 2005 and 2006 models were identical with the exception of computer soft ware updates and the addition of GM badging. Soft ware issues were later addressed on the 2005. The threat of a price increase and that C6 values continue to decline, could equal thousands of dollars lost just waiting. Not to mention one summer without the new model. Expect my car to deliver in February/March.

It used to mean something to be first, but now, things move so fast. the new of the C7 is way over and done.

Had mine since Sept. Why would I want to 'wait' another calendar year. Tomorrow is not promised.

Actually, the new of the C6 is way over and done. I know because I own one.

Wait, if you bought a 2014 C7 you then overpaid for a depreciating asset. So why don't you explain why it's better?

I am one of those that do not put it in storage for the winter. As long as its not snowing I'm driving. It will not melt when washed.

Buying a 14 now as in today in a cold weather state only to have it sit in a garage till March doesn't make much sense when the 15's with a better tranny and the z06 model aren't that far off.

Why do you care when someone else buys? Will it change your buying decision?

I own a 75 and 76 Corvette and have been wanting to get a new one for a long time. I looked at the C5 and just wasn't interested. I almost talked myself into getting a C6, but decided to wait until seeing what the C7 would look like. Now that the C7 is out, I fell in love with it at first sight and it still took me until Sep to finally pull the trigger. I pick it up on Dec 16th at the Museum and I can't wait to get it. And it will be my daily driver. The only time it won't come out of my garage is for snow or a hurricane.

So you see, I was one of those that kept saying wait until next year and next year never seemed to make it. Well, next year finally came and as I'm pushing 60 now, I want to get in it and have the time to enjoy driving it.

Enjoy today for tomorrow you may be gone...

And that's fine. But most owners will store the vette in the winter. I took mine out on a very cold day once and remember when my back tires broke loose going around a corner. And I wasn't getting on it either.

That's why I don't drive it in the winter.

I really don't care.

But I asked the question because I wanted to see what people would say. Is that against forum rules??

It was setting at the dealership and it twisted my arm and said buy me. I could not resist.

There is snow on the ground and it is 3 degrees this morning. The 2014 is setting in my warm garage just waiting to take me back on the road again.

the 15's won't be out until September so you'll have what 2 months to enjoy (for those of us that live in winter climes).

Because people get excited over ownership. Don't you? Maybe they have a trade and now's the time to trade or a lease thats ending? Maybe its financialy the time for them? Who knows who cares. When March comes around then you have to wait til 3rd/4th week in July to be the first. So wait another 4 to 5 months?

For the people that think the 15 is going to have enough changes then they will be 1st year changes. So what just wait til the 15 Z0? w/the LT4 or better (1st year trans) comes out..... but wait that will be the first year for the A8 trans and then that will be the first year for the Z0? with the LT4......better wait till 2016 for them to work the bugs out.

This is too much waiting and too many variables to each individuals personal taste.

Reports on this forum say the 2015 will have an eight speed automatic transmission.

don't know if it's confirmed but that's when dealerships usually get their next year's.

Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today. <----------Always remember that.
