Stopped by the dealer today, said the car was on schedule, that they had one of the larger allocations in the US though certainly not equal to Kerbeck.

Got to sit in one with that was being delivered, said it took only 4 weeks. Amazed at how comfortable the seat is. Very few seats of any kind feel good immediately to me. This one had an A6, so it was like what ours will be.

AutoWeek had a quote “The Corvette is the best modern sports car on the market. No caveats” Pretty high praise indeed. Don

Did they give you your status #?

("on schedule" is pretty non descript)

Yes, I know it’s not very descriptive. Sales manager looked it up and said all was well. I know some of the threads on this suggest it isn’t anywhere but the status code was 1100. Sales mgr seems to know what he’s doing, hope so. Don

You should ask for your status #. There is ZERO excuse for them not giving it to you

Am I missing something here, isn’t the # 1100 the status code? Don

yes and 1100 means it has gone no where except in the dealer computer as I wrote above...it can sit at 1100 for 6-8 months...to forever.....

Z-51 - no other constraint items.

I assume with 2 days before the shutdown I will stay at 3000 for some time.

So...Is order at 1100 since placed on 10-11-13 normal???
Z-51 with painted roof. My dealer said they had allocation and other units were being delivered. They had me at priority #3. #1 was built and delivered (ordered the same day). This week the dealership was sold to another Chevy dealer. My order now shows as placed under their name.

As Glen noted, 1100 means the dealer entered your order into their system but that's it. GM doesn't know anything about it yet.

While I can't say for certain, it seems to me that if an order has been sitting at 1100 for that long, the dealer has no allocation available to fill that order.

Sorry

Sorry...I missed that you had said the status was 1100

If your order was accepted by GM, the status wouldn't be 1100, it would be 2000.

Not questioning the knowledge of any who have responded here regarding codes. Just hope the dealer is paying attention and getting this process along. The delay in getting to 1100 doesn’t seem to jive with hearing that some recent arrivals have taken only 4 weeks. Don

You dealer may or many not have allocations to build a car, and some of what you want may be on constraint.

I sat at 1100 for 6 weeks. I was number one on the dealers list. I was called once for an Allocation he got to build a Car, but Z51, Exposed Carbon Fiber top and Carbon fiber dash were all on constraint, so the car could not have those options. I passed.

12 Days ago or so He called and said he had an allocation, no constraints for a coupe. We placed my order.

Today I am at 3000, accepted by production.

I am sure no status change now until after Jan 6. Plant closes the 19th until the 6th.

Thanks to the excellent assistance of Kelly, I found out that our Blade Silver C7 and others are on hold due to a shortage of body colored roof panels. No ETA on when this will clear.

Hopefully I’m not dreaming and the supplier can catch up and resupply Bowling Green over the factory shutdown period. Don
