I've taken mine out every day except one since I've gotten it. I've driven it in rain, in large puddles, in light snow (0.5"), and heavy snow (3-4"), and it has yet to disappoint.
I've taken my old car (2001 TA WS/6) out in the same snow (same day) and it faired much worse.
Both cars had winter tires on them. The TA is outfitted with Blizzaks, and the vette has Pirelli Sottozeros. After the first couple of comparisons, I don't even take the TA out anymore unless I need a 3rd seat.
NOOOOOOOO!!
Hey, honestly...nobody talks about how the front/back weight distribution may be helping the C7 in snow. Any owners have a comment?
The back seems to want to creep out less than any rear wheel drive car I've driven before. It is not non-existant, but whether it is the stability control, the traction control, Z-51 e-Diff, or the balanced weight, my vette was doing better than most SUVs, 4 wheel drive vehicles, and a mustang that was hilariously having issues in the one major snow fest we've had so far. That said, it IS a rear wheel drive vehicle, so if you aren't used to driving rear wheel drive cars in the snow, it'll take some getting used to, but if you are used to driving rear wheel drive cars in the snow, it'll make you giggle like a school girl at just how easy the car makes it.

Agree, for a vette, this is the easiest I've ever driven in the snow. Its been a huge surprise to a lot of my guys here when they take the car for a spin and isn't just sliding right off the road. Definitely a mix of things at work here, but the end result is phenomenal. GM really did a great job with this one
Where did you buy the Pirellis and how much was total cost shipped?
I can't find either the PA4 or Pirellis ANYWHERE..........
Thank you so much for your help.
tirerack.com. I can't say what I paid for them, I got a non public discount since I let them take pictures of my car, and take all the measurements they needed to build models of the wheel wells so they could recommend wheels and tires and which would fit on the car. Very odd, I can't seem to get them to come up either. I suggest you just give them a call. Total should be ~$1450-$1500 for a set of all 4 including shipping ($53).
Main Number: (800) 428-8355 and ask for AJ, or here is his direct info:

From my order:
Qty Size and Description
2 245/35R-19 Pirelli Winter Sottozero 240 XL
2 285/30R-20 Pirelli Winter Sottozero 240 XL
This was for a Z51, the sizes would be different for a non-Z51. Here is a nice picture of my car @tirerack:

Stupid question. Will 4 tires fit inside the C7 so you can take it to get the tires swapped?
I doubt it. I would not even try. That's why I love my SUV which can ferry 4 tires/wheels back and forth to my shop for easy on/off work. Of course there are lots of DIY out there.
Even with my tire rack covers on the wheels I would not even try to carry them even two at a time for fear of messing up the interior.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I think I am going to get a second set of rims for winter tires so I can swap them myself at home.
