Default Tpms tool

Is there a recommended TPMS tool for relearning sensors on a 2014 C7 2LT 18/19 second set of wheels?

Thanks

No tool needed. According to the Manual the C7 sensors Auto Learn. Just put them on and drive for awhile.

Do you really need a tool? On other GM cars and trucks, you can let air out and it will awaken the TPS unit and send a signal to the car. Works on my truck each time I put the winter wheels on. Worth looking into.

I hope they can learn in a hurry. I'd hate to have to drive around when changing to my track wheels.

According to the Manual, they can sit stationary for "about 20 minutes" OR drive around at at least 12 mph for 10 minutes.

TPMS Sensor Matching Process — Auto Learn Function

Each TPMS sensor has a unique identification code. The identification code needs to be matched to a new tire/wheel position after rotating the tires or replacing one or more of the TPMS sensors. When a tire is installed, the vehicle must be stationary for about 20 minutes before the system recalculates. The following relearn process takes up to 10 minutes, driving at a minimum speed of 19 km/h (12 mph). A dash (-) or pressure value will display in the DIC.

That would seem to be the implication, but.......I have no way of knowing for sure.

If you're going soon it would probably be a good idea to test it before going. Someone will probably try it fairly soon and post though.

That's what I have heard too. Sure beats having to fiddle with a magnet.

I'll have to chat with some contacts to see if there's a workaround. For some of us autocross or track guys, either one of those metrics aren't acceptable.
