1st of all...I'm new on the forum...but a Vette fan for 60 years. And I'm only 60 ! I've had a 75, 90,and currrently own a black 98 vert that has been part of the family for 15 years (and..I thought always would be). And then the C7 came out !! The rest is history...and I know whoever "adopts" the 98 will be very happy. Enough of the history. Here is my question:
I was at "ordered accepted" a week ago and according to the "chat now" I was at 2050 status. Original order placed in early Dec. I made some final changes this past Monday. (12/30) I now see that my "tracking" is back to "order placed"...and cust service says I'm at 1100.
Is this typical...or have I been "jumped" due to the change?
BTW..I've spent ALOT of time on this forum reading (too much...according to the boss). It's nice to see that I'm not alone in my love of Corvettes. Thanks to the many forum members that have answered so many of my questions that I hadn't even thought to ask !!
The allocation process is weird. When you made changes you probably lost the dealer's allocation slot reserved for your car, now your starting over. Only GM knows, and they are not talking.
