Regarding #2, there's no need to pull fuses anymore. There's a software switch in the center console that allows you to set it to always be fully open. Sounds awesome.
It's under 'settings' in the infotainment screen. Nearly all the settings in the car can be customized from there. Directions are in the owners manual.
OP I would guess that for a lot of owners the non NPP is acceptable. The sound is pretty good and 5 more HP is probably rarely used by most.
It is more than acceptale, IMO...I detailed a Non NPP a few weeks ago and stood behind him as he pulled away...it sounded very nice....
and also, I'm finding the longer I own the car with NPP, the more I'm staying in a closed valve position (as in the touring mode) as it's just a nicer ride for me....I don't track and it's a DD, after roaring around town for a few weeks I decided I was only impressing myself and went to touring mode. Plus when you do take off quickly, you don't attract attention....but I do like the 4 in trumpet tips...that do look better than non NPP....
