I have to believe the hit you take each time you trade it in must be substantial and much more than tires and brakes. I am curious why you get a new car so often. Do the cars bore you quickly ?

Gary you are my hero when it comes to buying oneNEW corvette at a time. I hope that you do not go through wives as fast as corvettes or you would never be able to purchase any vette! You should make a list on your profile of all the vettes you have owned it would be great reading for us all.I thought my list was long I would like to see yours. Your a mad man when it comes to trading in vettes.I will be holding out for a used 20015-2016 low mileage vert in about 3 years by then you will probably have that loaded low mileage red vert I will be looking for.GARY SUPERSONIC 427 = #1 SINGLE CORVETTE PURCHASER OF ALL TIME!!! Enjoy your RED C7!!

True, I have taken "hits" on these rapid car purchasing transactions, but not as bad as one would think. Between the rebates, discounts and finding the right dealer that will stretch on the trade, it has been all doable. I have had a perpetual car payment for the last 30 years. In that period I have owned many new Corvette's, Buick Grand National's, Trans Am's, Camaro Z/28's, Mustang GT's and many others. I go up and down in car payments and when I exceed my limit, I readjust. Such was the case with the 427 Convertible! I have always loved cars (especially Corvettes) and like to get the latest. What I do is probably stupid, but who cares.....life is short and this is what I enjoy!

If you can do it and you want to do it you should do it.I would do it to if I really wanted to.When are you getting a 2015 C7 vert? I will be waiting for the thread... As long as you have your house and you are not living in your car then keep doing what makes you happy.I have been in my 2008 vert since 2009 and it is the longest time since my first new 1993 40th ANN. coupe which I owned till 2002 then I got that GARY FEVERand have owned several since. Check my profile and you will see I got the same bug as you. Good luck and will be waiting for that next thread!

Nice Vette, congrat's. I know about changing my mind about my cars. One question - were did you get the Goodyear blimp you have in the garage?

Thanks! I got the Goodyear blimp from a friend of mine who is a manager of a Goodyear store in Rochester NY. Had it about 5 or 6 years.

Thinking the same thing. Although I' sure the 427 Vert was more expensive.

Practical may have been the wrong word. It was mostly the expense of the car payment, insurance, and future up keep. Besides I love the C7!

Too early to make a comparison, as I only have a little over 300 miles on it. I have been taking it pretty easy. According to the Chevrolet brochures the Z51 C7 does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds...the same as the 427 Vert.
