That's a long, nerve-wracking haul. Glad it's over finally. Congrats and enjoy the ride!

Congrats! Very interesting post. Your car was build on my 60rh Birthday. I should be mine. lol. I was late on placing my order. Didn't place the order until first week in December. Really hoping to hear something positive soon. Last I heard my order was on hold. Did you get your information from the dealer? What I'm seeing here makes me feel a bit more positive that I might get the C7 by spring. Enjoy. This will be my first Corvette. Looking forward to the experience.. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanx,
Gene

The first thing you need to know is whether your dealer has an allocation for your type of order, coupe, vert, base or Z51. Get your Order No., and you can check it on the Chevy Order Tracking website or ask you dealer to periodically check the Order Work Bench that he has access to. He should have no problems checking that occasionally and letting you know the status. If your dealer has an allocation, my best guess is that you will have it by spring.

Thank you much for the information. I'll be calling dealer tomorrow to get the order number.

It snowed again overnight and it is 9 degrees. We plowed and scrapped, and shoveled the driveway and put down 30# of calcium chloride. The sun is out and this is as good as it is going to get. We're off to pick it up!

Where do you live and where did you go to make the pickup? How did it go? I have a long drive for pickup in the March time-frame and could face the same thing!

In in SW PA. I live in Export and my dealer is in New Alexandria. It is only about 13 miles, mostly on four lane highways. It was sunny yesterday afternoon and the four-lanes were mostly dry, but with some slush in spots. I did have to go up a snow covered grade when I left the dealer's lot, and it never spun a tire. The road from the top the hill to our house was not in great shape, but I had no problmes. From about mid body down, it is fairly dirty. I'll crank up the heat in the garage tomorrow and fix that. Yesterday was the only dry-roads day for a week. It was either get it yesterday or wait a week. After a five-week QC Body Check hold at BG I was not in the mood to wait any longer.

It's home and in the garage, a little dirtier than when we left Grabiak Chevrolet, but I am one happy C7 owner. Even though our drive was short and in less than ideal conditions, compared to my C6 GS I could feel the additional stiffness of the frame. The ride, steering, and power were fantistic. I cannot say enough about the comfort of the seats and overall quality of the interior. I love it and could not be more pleased. I can hardly wait for March and, hopefully, a break in this miserable weather.

So glad to see you have your baby home safe. I got some GREAT news today. I received my order number so now at least I can start tracking the activity.
