I've somehow set my audio to play a song and it just keeps repeating. I know that it's avaible because when I first put usb in and the song came up I could scroll through them using the up and down buttons on steering wheel. Now I go to radio/browse and select my usb port and whichever song I had told it to play will just keep repeating, I'll hit the forward button on touch screen...nothing..can someone list some basic simple steps that will allow me to scroll through songs??
thanks
John
I've read the infotainment manual and either it didn't get that detailed, or I missed it....
I feel old..... I'm sure the "kids" can do this in their sleep! I read about this one guy who said "I'm 26, have a house, this car, etc..." I don't remember what the thread was about, but all I could think of was WOW, your 26 and you have this car!! that's just not right, you should have to come up through the ranks like the rest of us...hahhaha
I have a similar problem with my playlist on a sandisc. The songs are all listed on the screen, but many of them won't play ( I noticed many never came up in random mode). Also, if I browse my list and touch the screen to select a song, which then highlights in yellow, I would think it would come up, but it doesn't; only one of the songs next to it in the list. I think the problem may be that the system cannot read certain file formats, like apple lossless files. I' thinking I may have to reformat my list and see if it cures the problem. Otherwise all is good. Love the sandisc, too. Just insert it and no device or wires to contend with.
Anyone else have this problem?
If you browse by Artist and you have only one song from that artist it will keep repeating it. Basically, it seems to only play that artist over and over.
If I choose by song, I don't have that issue since it lists all songs. I have only had the car for a few days so I don't know all of the ins and outs yet.
I am also having this problem. Before I went to BG to pick up my vert, I ripped a bunch of CD's to a Sandisk thumb drive. On the ride back to Florida, a couple of the CD tracks appeared to have multiple copies of the same song and it wanted to play them over and over again. I just assumed that I screwed up when I ripped the CDs. When I got home I checked the thumb drive on my computer and none of the CDs had duplicate songs stored. I am taking my vert into the dealer next week for a couple minor items of which this is one, but I don't expect them to have a solution just yet. My guess is this is something that will have to be fixed in another update to the software at some point.
If the Infotainment manual doesn't work for you, try giving the Infotainment team a call. They are available 8pm-10pm EST seven days a week, and are pros on this stuff!
We are also available if you have any other concerns!
USB Menu
Press Menu to display the USB
menu. The following may be
available:
Shuffle: Press to play the tracks
randomly. Press again to stop
shuffle.
double checked and I already have that option on "shuffle", this does not fix the issue. That manual leaves waaaaay too much to the imagination. there should be explicit details like any other owner manual.....
I did happen to switch from track mode to Sport and then I could scroll....go figger
this is how i got mine to work. go to audio, browse songs. it should show you a list and I just started from the top and I'm able to scroll again.
No offense to cust serv. but I called infotainment center and I was on the phone about 15 minutes just trying to explain that I had the new stingray.....

Hello this is 'Bobby' how may I help you.
that's too funny because I was actually going to say that as a joke but didn't want to offend...haha
no they sounded like english was their first language, just that the person I talked with was obviously scrolling through screens, I didn't have the time to walk her through everything so I just hung up and played around with it.

I took my car in to my dealer to have the above issue checked last week. They got a couple of techs on the phone that specialize in the Infortainment system. They confirmed that the duplicate songs using a thumb drive is an issue. BUT, they said they are only seeing it on vehicles that are using a SanDisk thumb drive. They believe there maybe some sort of format issue that is a problem with SanDisk. They suggested that I try another brand of thumb drive to see if this corrected the issue. I just got around to doing this and picked up a PNY 32 gb thumb drive and copied the exact same CDs that I had on the SanDisk drive. I plugged into one of the ports, fired up the media portion of the stereo, and the issue is gone. So, if you are experiencing the duplicate song issue and you are using a SanDisk drive, you might want to change brands. It worked for me. I hope this helps!
Using a PNY 32GB SD card, as well as a PNY flash drive, and no problems like that. Occasionally, if we delete a song, the infotainment system still thinks it's there, but that's a known issue, also.
Did you directly copy music out of iTunes or did you have to do some kind of conversion? I want to get my music all set up before I go for museum delivery. Thanks in advance for your help.

I ripped (copied) my CDs to my PC in an MP3 format, then copied them to a thumb drive. Easy peasy! I used a SanDisk drive and evidently there is a compatibility issue with that brand and the Infotainment system. I copied those same CDs to a PNY thumb drive and it seems to have cleared up the problem.
