I have asked this question before and I haven't received an answer that is acceptable. is is there a way to disable the active management system so the car does not go into the V.4 mode? I know that if it's using the paddle shifts that it stays in V-8 mode. Is there a setting that keeps the car in V8 mode?

If the cylinder de-activation system is removed and if the OEM exhaust is changed, then the car will probably get into a situation of throwing an error code. So there does need to be a method of permanently disabling it.
Removing the cylinder de-activation system from the engine would probably save 15 pounds and then a lightweight stainless-steel cat-back exhaust would probably save 15 pounds. Actually, headers with replacement cats are possible. (The federal law is that OEM cats may be replaced with aftermarket cats if the OEM cats have gone bad. The California law is something more.).
Well, I was planning on tuning only the air/fuel ratio for the aftermarket exhaust. That might be done with the HKS AFR device (which changes the output voltage of the air mass sensor). Now I see that the Trinity T-1000 might be able to both disable the active fuel management and also adjust air/fuel ratio (by declaring a different size fuel injector). And skip shift is included in the parameter list. Well, maybe so but I would put it in the glove compartment and not on the dash. But the T-1000 FAQ suggests that it is not a piggy-back device but a tune loader. Then the inTune I-1000 only loads tunes and doesn't display engine operation. Basically, someone needs to buy it to see for sure what it does on the C7
.
last I heard Adam at Range was working on a AFM disable module for the OBD port like the camaro, however it's needed in the camaro, so everyone buys it...but since the Vette AFM is pretty unobtrusive, the demand will be lower...
We are a distributor for a product called the Range AFM Delete Module for the Silverado and Camaro and it is currently being tested on the C7. You just plug it into the OBD port and it doesn't let AFM know that the parameters are met to engage. Kind of like a Skip Shift Eliminator.

Not on the car as delivered. Sorry that is not acceptable, but without the system, there would probably be a nice Gas Guzzler charge added, courtesy of Uncle Sam. Same situation as skip-shift on the manual trannies. If you have someone tune the car, you could get it disabled.
Personally, in almost 2000 miles, I only notice it going into V4 mode if I'm looking at the instrument panel indicator. I see no reason to disable it in day to day driving.
I just watched a video yesterday where Tadge said if left in Track mode, it will stay in V8.

It's only going to bother you if you put an aftermarket exhaust on your car. As long as your car is stock you shouldn't notice a change in sound but with a aftermarket exhaust that rumbles it will sound terrible in 4 cylinder mode and you will have to buy a tuner like the diablosport trinity T-1000 which will allow you to keep your stock tune and disable the AFM.

Yes sir there is - trade it in on a 7 speed manual
You can also put one of the preloaded tunes from the trinity in it and disable the AFM
For those that are uncomfortable with a aftermarket tune using the device to disable AFM only is a great feature of the Trinity T-1000
It’s been said before but why disable it? Just touch the throttle and it goes away in an A6, you’ll be flying down the road very quickly. The rest of the time its saving gas w/o any downsides. Don
