I've had HUD on my C5, C6 & C7 and had no problem with polarized sunglasses.

Another example of flawed "German Engineering". I wouldn't trust anything from country that can't figure out how to put a man on the moon. I've had NAV in my C5 and two C6's and never had a problem when wearing sunglasses.

Easy fix. Rotate either your sun glass lenses or windshield 90 degrees

It IS harder to see the HUD with my polarized sun glasses, but, it's NOT invisible. Besides it will only be a matter of time before some one like Steve Dolten decides to put them in C7's like he did in the C6's. The guy is great plus IMHO it's the olny option you'd miss with the 1LT...except maybe the $ 4,800.00 bucks!

Had the HUD for years and never turn it on. Worthless option for me!
They have the car and now it's MINE! Deposit is down!
Getting a look a plane tickets!

Had to do MSRP but the Z-51 is a lot harder to find.
Regular base cars all day long 2-6k off!

I am not into a Cadillac, so a Corvette has to do. I like all the features of the 2LT and wouldn't be without them. Heated seats, guess you never get soft ice cream on a cold day. Guess I'm more into the crap than the high performance sport car part.

a C7!
I found after thinking about it. I'm going with a 1lt.
Simply because 4-5 last five Corvette's had the heads-up and heated
seats, memory seats and mirror's. I didn't use any of them in 8 years!

3 options I don't miss. Then since it has the telescoping wheel
and the passenger power seat. The 1lt is lightest and perfect for me.

I found a car. 7 speed yes I'm staying stick!
So Blade Silver 7 speed Z-51 1lt with the competition seats.
Not crazy about the swede steering wheel but I can replace that to
the stock leather one and sell it!
Hope they have still have the car!
This sounds exactly like the car at my dealer. You didnt happen to find it in Minnesota did you?

I was very close to going with the competition seats but after sitting in the regular seats I felt they were more than adequate.

I also like the idea of less complexity in the entire car, less to break and less weight.

I had a 2011 Camaro SS/RS with HUD. It was very hard to see the HUD with polarized glasses.

That goes for any luxury, premium, or performance related option... be it Z51, MSRC, 2LT, 3LT, Exposed CF roof, etc... etc. It boils down to the present new car buyer's wants vs. needs. Same principle for those that opt out of a Z51. For me, I wouldn't have mind the HUD and cooled seats but it was not a dire necessity... have the HUD on my Camaro SS and it's not a biggie for me so I decided to save $4100 and stick with the 1LT. Instead I preferred to spend the extra $2800 option for the Z51 pkg, so IMO it was worth it... again for me. Different strokes for different folks.

There's a downside to trading in a Chevy Spark, too. If I cared about trade in value's I'd just be living in the future. Today would suck everyday.

I actually followed the advice of one of the car magazines, they showed how to get the most bang for your performance buck in cars. They optioned the C7 with Z51, Magnetic Ride, Performance Exhaust and that was it. The only other options I bought were black wheels and red calipers for the AW.

Get real yourself sonny. Some of us drive our vettes year round. Going out at 6AM when it's 25 degrees out for an hours drive to work ... a heated seat would come in mighty nice.

IIRC, that was Car & Driver's "Best Cars for 2014" (I think it was the Jan issue)... with a sidebar stating exactly what you mentioned. Primary recommendation in that excerpt was the 1LT Z51 and then add MSRC + NPP if you wish. Bang for the buck indeed.

Nice! Congrats! I didnt think that z51 would last long. Cool combo with a 1LT and comp seats. They have a few non-z51s theyve had for a while.

Suburban is awesome to deal with. I got my TR 1LT Z51 from them a few weeks ago. They went through the trouble of sending thier own truck to pick it up at the railyard with the shipping issues. They even brought it out to my house in an enclosed trailer. (I dont live too far from there.) I am #1 on their Z06 list too.

It's gonna be -22 and -40 windchill tonight here, good thing you arent getting her today.
