We actually had SUBZERO on a Suburban owned a few years ago. Many figured I had something to do with the Subzero brand of refrigerators...

We have spent many happy hours in the twisties with our C5 Now hope to do more with our new C7 convertible. What Roads are this Alligator Slide?
Probably been there but didn't know the name.

There's bluffs from Alma Wi. to LaCrosse Wi. and about 25 mi. east of the Mississippi loaded with blacktop roads all over them. Alligator Slide road is about 25 mi east of a town named Fountain City Wi. Plug it into Google Earth. But it doesn't do it justice.

Hi Chris,

I was just checking the Chevrolet Customer Service thread for my update and noticed your TPW is 3/17. I'll be right behind you as I just went to 3000 today. But no TPW yet for me.

Picked mine up Feb. 24 at Village Chevrolet in Wayzata, cyber gray, 3LT, Brownstone, NPP. Had hoped to drive it, but the weather was miserable. Had new wheels and tires put on, Xpel treatment, then trailered it to a storage garage and retreated to CA to warm up. I'll be back in April to drive it to northern WI when the weather will allow it.

Looks great. I got the cyber gray and bought mine from Village also. Did you order or buy from stock?

You might have to wait unfortunately until mid May this year for all the snow to melt. I'm sure the lakes will still be frozen over yet.

No garage queen for me and I am not waiting for the snow to melt. Drove mine today into the office. It was a little wet and salty with the dusting of snow we got last night still melting. The waxers will cringe, but it is nothing that won't rinse off.

You're the man Rick! Just don't put it into a snow bank.

I suppose being this is our first day above 20 degrees in about a month, you will have your top down coming home, RIGHT!

Pavement was clear (just wet with puddles of salty melt water), so plenty of traction. The snow banks are kind of tricky to see over at intersections, though.

20's are still iffy on putting the top down, but I might roll down the windows.

Default Mines at the dealership

bought a 2lt in black from Wilcox Chev in forest lake. It's there now, they will hold it for me for a couple weeks till our raods clear up some more. Ordered a Z51 in Sept and due to the comstraints and not wanting to wait till 2015, decided to go aftermarket with Wheels, Tire and exhaust. Will add pics in a couple days.

Warmer days will be here soon I hope, then you can have the sun shinning down on you. I hear you about the snow banks at intersections as some you can't even see over.

Enjoy your car and drive safe.

Congrats! Can't wait to see some pictures! Was your September Z51 order with Wilcox?

I ordered. Put the $ down early November, finalized specs later in the month. Tried hard to avoid constrained options, but had to switch to the transparent roof to move to 3000. That happened before Christmas, car was built Jan 17 and arrived Village around Feb 18. It was rail shipped. I was told they've gone back to truck shipping, at least to MN.

I thought your pic looked like the delivery area at Village-that's where I got my Torch Red as well. Mine was the first one they delivered on Oct. 4th (#307) and I put just over 500 miles on it before storage. it will not see the streets for a few weeks, I'm sure. Not the salt so much as the grit that just destroys the paint on the splash areas. Even in the 20's above 0 the Z51 tires are not a fun drive.

Agreed on the "summer only" tires. You may have noticed the TSW wheels on mine. I don't really care for the non-Z51 wheels, and was concerned about the tires, so I ordered the wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires from Discount Tires, had the dealer mount them. So now I have 2 sets of wheels and tires, summer and other. I also had Skip Chips do an Xpel wrap, front end, rockers, splash areas, etc. and then never really drove it except into the storage garage! Lol! Can't wait until spring!

I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's on mine, and have driven them in minus-12 degree weather (dry pavement) and the car had plenty of stickiness to be fun to drive even in that extreme cold.

Skip Chips? Are they local in the Twin Cities? How much did it cost for the Xpel wrap? Are you happy with the workmanship?

Skip Chips is in Hopkins, south just off Shady Oak on K-Tel. Outstanding workmanship. They do everything by computer design, no cutting on the car. They've done quite a few C7's, have all the patterns. About $400 for front bumper back to the front wheels, mirrors, and door edges, another $350 for rockers, up the doors, and rear quarter.

I just put my order in a couple weeks ago with no constrained items and I'm at 3000 already. I know I did pass up eight other on their wait list with Z51 and/or other constrained items. With all the snow, I wasn't worried if I didn't get it till the end of May, but if they are using trucks again to MN, I'll probably have it by May 1st? Seemed like rail was taking a few extra weeks.

I saw S/N 12707 listed on their wed site Feb 19, but didn't know if it was dealer stock.

12707 is mine, the CGM photo in post#45 above. Rail shipment took 28 days, but only 3-4 days were actually transit time on the rail car. The balance was baying at the plant, truck transit to Toledo, and sitting in 3 different yards waiting to get on railcar, or waiting for the right train. I'd guess your total time from date produced to dealer will be less than 2 weeks. Do you have a TPW?

Not yet with a TPW, but I should have one by next week. The inventory manager told me eight weeks yesterday, but I thought he was just being optimistic after hearing how long rail shipmenst were taking. He must have known that it will be shipped by truck.
