Just ordered my C7, Z51 with 2LT, comp seats, transparent roof, perf exhaust, 6 speed auto and did not add the navigation. Now I am thinking maybe I should get it. Opinions on how it works and do you like it. Thanks!

Order it. The electronics are so integrated that it would be a shame not to have it. I thought about just using my smartphone for navigation. But, I am very happy to have it now. Works flawlessly with On*Star directions too.
Let's be honest. Practically speaking, there's no need for it whatsoever. Everyone has a smartphone nowadays, and Google Maps destroys the C7s navigation system, however improved it may be over the C6. No sensible person would say that you need it.
With that said, if you're going to buy a 60k sports car, what's another $800 to add the navigation? Even if the only time you use it is to show off the "cool" features to the broad you just picked up an hour ago, there's no sense cheaping out when you're blowing so much cash already.

If you are frequently unfamiliar with your destination, I would get it. I have it because the car I bought (off the lot) had it. Was not on my list of must have options. It also had the carbon fiber dash treatment, which I was not looking for, but that is really sharp! Wish the shifter surround plate had the CF treatment. Waiting for a vendor to come up with it.

It is really much better than the C6 navigation, but the manual is ridiculous.

glad you ordered it. Our ex-C6 had one and my C5Z has an after market that is actually better than the C6s was. Understand the C7s is fantastic . Will let you know if we ever get it
I have to admit that Nav is one of the options I wish I had bought, and if they ever offer it as an upgrade, I will probably get it. I've got a nice Garmin, but don't keep it on the windshield unless I'm taking a trip. Of course I have an android phone too, but that's not mounted anywhere convenient either. I find myself taking weekend drives for the sole purpose of exploring country roads, and it's a pain to have to mount the Garmin, or fiddle with the cell phone just to see a map.

While I have the factory NAV in my C6, I also have a Garmin in it(and also in my DD). It's not necessary to stick the Garmin on the windshield. They are so cheap($85 for one with lifetime free map updates every 3 months) that it's not necessary to move it from car to car.
It's a total waste especially when you can buy a nice Garmin or TomTom for a little over a $100.00 and use it in every car you own.
Yeah, I especially like the dangling power cord and the need to take the thing down from the dash and hide it every time I park the car so as to not attract thieves and then to have to set it up again for the next leg of my trip. Those portable aftermarket units are just so friggen convenient!

If you picked up a "broad", then you could probably impress her with a free fold out paper road map from the tourist center.
If you are taking a "broad" out for a drive, why are you trying to impress her with a $800 navigation system? Just show her the hair on your chest and your gold chains.
