PM me if you want additional information.
FYI - I do not work for the dealership.
1100-preliminary order accepted ( this is just dealer giving you order number This does NOT mean your order is in!!!!!)
2000- order accepted by GM (THIS means your order is in!!!)
2030- order re-edited (if necessary)
2051- Changed thru web
2500- order preferenced
3000- order accepted by production control
3100- order available to sequence
3300- order scheduled for production
3400- order broadcast
3800- order produced
4000- available to ship
4104- Bailment invoice
4200- shipped
4300- Intermediate delivery
4B00- bayed
5000-Delivered to dealer
6000-delivered to customer

9000- order cancelled
To everyone that is at code 1100 this is your dealer just putting order in to GM.
THIS MEANS NOTHING until you hit 2000! Your dealer has to have allocations to get you to 2000! Good luck all.. hope this sheds some light on GM ordering codes!
BTW allocations to dealers are based on 2012 Corvette sales. Kerbeck has one of the highest allocation numbers. Shipping car cost anywhere from 700-2000 dollars obviously depending on distance from point A to point B IMO small price to pay for a new C7

Him saying he has no idea to me means he knows he has no allocations and is just hoping some other dealer passes on one of their allocations.

Your dealer (somebody there) knows exactly how many allocations they have left for the 2014 model year. What they don't know is how many Z51's will be included in those remaining allocations because Z51 is still limited availability. Small # of allocations means less chance of getting an allocation that includes Z51. Same for any other options that are on constraint (FAY, C2Z and some others).
Two things happened last week, my car went to 3000 status with a TPW of 2/10 and the local dealer that promised me they would get me a car called to tell me they were sending a sales rep to the training course...finally.
Something to think about as well is, if you are ordering a car with constraint items, your smaller dealer will most likely not be able to get your order through. A dealership with 3 allocations trying to get Z51 (50% constraint) and CF Dash (20%) might if lucky, get 1 Z51. 0 CF dash. Where as a larger dealer getting 30 would get 15 Z51s 6 CF Dash

FYI, I was all excited Thursday morning when the Chevy chat line indicated my order was at 2051 [changed my previous September 09 placed 1100 order by deleting the FAY constrained option]
07:59:19Customer:Yes, I removed FAY [on constraint] last Thursday to speed up the process.
08:01:17 XXX:Thank you, the last update was January 23, 2014 which would have been the day you had that done. It is still at order edited code 2051. I would advise checking with the dealership to see why it is still at that status.
08:02:46Customer:What does code 2051 mean, does that mean it has finally been accepted by Chevrolet, I have previously been at 1100 since 09.09.2013.
08:03:00 XXXX:That is the edit order code.
08:04:08Customer:I do not understand, is 2051 better then 1100?
08:06:01 XXXX:In the sense that they have changed your order specifications yes. It has been accepted.
Less then a couple of hours later was told it was still 1100, that 2051 just means an internal change only, not accepted.
"You do have 2051 listed on your order, but that just means the order was changed through web. The official event is still 1100-Preliminary Order Accepted."
Now why in the world would they use 2051 instead of 1151 to denote an edited, but not accepted order?

This is what frustrates me about the whole GM ordering process. I understand the whole issue of the dealers working their butts off in 2012 to earn the allocations for the 2014 Corvettes, but you have those loyal customers that have been waiting for months at dealers who were promised allocations from GM, while others who are willing to go through the out of state purchase process and are getting production dates for an order they placed last week.

8 months! I told him to contact Mike Furman and see if he can do better.
