Yeah they grew on me too when I bought my son a mini cooper S. At first I hated it and then realized wow, that looks nice. I ordered my C7 with black wheels too. The only thing that bothers me is that it may be in style now, but not later.

Agreed. My CGM has the Silver Z51 Wheels. After seeing others with the Black Wheels, I think I'm going to have my Wheels Powder Coated Gloss Black. I have the Carbon Flash Mirrors and Spoiler, so the contrast should work well overall.
I already bought some Black Center Caps with the Stingray Script and Logo on them. Should look pretty cool.
Also going to add the Carbon Flash RPI Side Series 1 Side Skirts, but I'm not a fan of their version of the Front Splitter.
This Car just makes me spend more money on it. It's a curse.

Maybe I'm the minority here, but I just don't like the black wheel look, on any color. The only way I'd even consider black wheels is if they had machine finished spokes to set them off a bit. Seems like EVERYTHING has black wheels these days, something a bit different can't be a bad thing.

painted wheels weren't bad on a 47 ford until cragar and american racing made these.

Black wheels look awesome on red to, I think. Probably my two favorite colors with the black wheels are red and white. Torch red looks equally good with everything. To me, personally, the Laguna blue, yellow, and the crystal red looks best with chrome or silver wheels. This is all IMHO, of course.

I guess I am in the minority, but to me the regular chrome wheels look the best.
A long time ago white walls were the look and black walls were for people who didn't want to fork over the 20 dollar premium. Now white walls are absurd on a car and black walls are the standard look. So who knows maybe black wheels will prevail in the future....
