I would not count on it. GM has a habit of not fixing issues until the next generation i.e. C8. Same issues remained for the C5 for the entire 7 years of production. Some of the C5 issues still exist today in not only the C7 but other GM cars like the infamous "Rocking Seat" issue. I had a 1997 Cadillac Seville had that issue as well. Then there is the leaky rear axle seal in C5's which has popped up again in the C7. I am guessing with low production cars like the Corvette GM doesn't like to put a lot of effort into correcting issues.
This is complete bunk. Are you actually suggesting "rocking seat" issue exists in the C7? Because if so you just lost all credibility...
Are there issues that linger thought the life cycle of a model, sure. But as an owner of a 2005, 2008, and 2012 C6, I can assure you that even issues I/we saw in 2005 were addressed and no longer present by later models.
The only major issue I had with my 05 was roof delaminating. Anyone remember that one? Well, they fixed/replaced the existing roofs (even some beyond warranty) and modified the design for production moving forward.

Really... the rocking seat issue is a problem in the C7? Have we seen ANY reports on this or is it just your personal speculation?
Actually I have to eat my words on the C7 and rocking seat issue. I did a search and found only one mention and that was someone asking "IF" anyone had the C7 rocking seat issue? Not that he did. Sorry for that but other instances where GM has let issues go far to long are well documented.
The engine is rattling on light acceleration. Sometimes it goes away quickly other times if I hold the throttle at the right position it stays. Hard acceleration I hear nothing.
Any thoughts??
Had same issue at 1300-1500 rpm light throttle. It is caused by a faulty belt tensioner. Have replaced it once (solved problem); but it is failing again. If you know where it is, you can see that it is leaking oil.
This is a defective part from whomever is making it. GM needs to make them fix it or find a new supplier.
