I know Chevrolet will cease production on the 2014 Stingrays on about the 8th of August 2014, but does anyone know when they will stop taking 2014 orders?
A good guess would be around mid-June. It takes from 4-6 weeks to go from 1100 to 3000 and get a TPW assuming consensus fits in plus a week of building. Remember the plant closes for two weeks around July 4 for tooling and model changeover. I would suspect that orders placed after mid-June (6/16) will be for a 2015 model. Just a guess but probably close taking into account that there won't be many changes which are being done today "on the fly".
Two phases of allocations were made available to specified dealers for the 2014 model year, we are in the second phase. The number of allocations should be equal to the anticipated number of units produced. Initially 2014 production was scheduled to be completed in June, 2015 orders would be available around the beginning of May. With this in mind 2014 orders would terminate in April. However we heard 2014 production will continue into early August. We are now in uncharted waters, is the extra production time needed to fill promised alllocations? Are more promissed allocations being made available to dealers? Sorry I tried to answer your question only to add questions of my own.

That timeline is wrong - it takes 10 days to go from 2000 (order accepted) to 3300 with a TPW issued - 1100 is a meaningless status; and it is typically 3-4 weeks from 3300 to 3800 (build complete). Even with the 2 weeks of factory downtime, I would expect they will accept orders through June 26th (orders are placed on Thursdays), but maybe as late as July 3rd with the last day of production being 8/8.

How does anyone now the 8/8 date. I was told 2014 production was to end in July?

Mine looks more like this:
1100: 01/16/2014
2000: 01/21/2014
3000: 01/22/2014
3300: 01/30/2014 with a TPW of 2/17
I think Chevy was feeling sorry for me since I was waiting at 1100 since 11/11/13 and refused to give up the exposed carbon roof, carbon dash, Z51 and comp seats through all of the constrained weeks.

It is going to be a great summer. Hate to miss that waiting on a 2015..
The only way it isn't going to be a great summer driving my 2014 is if this winter from hell never ends
Otherwise I expect to be driving my 2014 C7 comes mid-March

I think all the GT-R and Viper people prayed for a nasty winter so we could not enjoy our new Stingrays. They are jealous of such style and grace at such affordable prices.
Saw a stingray yesterday, passed me up slowly so had a chance to view from different angles....very nice although I preferred front and sides to the rear (don't like every angle of the viper either) and arguably great value. Easier to achieve that balance of value versus performance with higher (not high... just higher) production vehicles.
