Default Decision made

I want to thank the people that gave the input to the thread of "Need some help here". I was on the fence about moving up to the C7 from '13 Grand Sport. Well a decision has been made and my other half has voiced her desire. She stated that she wants to go to Carlisle this year in the new model. We have gone 4 years straight now in the C4 and last year in the C6. She wants the C7. She liked the new vette ever since seeing it in person at Carlisle.

So the C7 it will be. I guess it ain't all that bad. She could say HELL NO, so to have a women that actually likes cars and wants to own them isn't a bad thing.

With that being said, I have some questions:

1) Is there anyone making a seat cover to protect the bolsters and the leather for the 2014? Or any interior dress up like armrests, ETC?

2) Does it use the same setup as the C6 with controlling the dual mode exhaust? I installed the remote control to be able to manually control the exhaust.

3) I understand the car is new to market, however are any of the companies selling wheels that look like the Z51 wheel or wheels done in black. I have the non Z51 coupe and it has chrome wheels. I am not a fan of chrome. I want to take these wheels off and get a set of black or to have powder coated.

Thanks again for those that wrote their opinion in the thread to help the decision.

Bob D.

Get in touch with Nightstalker1. The pic link below is from the cyber grey color thread which shows his stock rims redone in black. Looks great.

Congrats--don't listen to others, get the 2014 it's going to be a great car. Why wait until Oct (which is at best when you might get a 2015).

ENJOY IT!

Thanks ATX. I am not going to wait for 2 reasons:

1) She is always right and her decisions are final.
2) if you disagree, refer back to reason # 1. LOL

Nah, just kidding. She isn't like that at all. But she did make this decision. I wanted her to be part of it. She loves cars and loves the new vette. She liked the C6, but that was mostly my decision to get that one. Once she saw the C7, she was hooked. Plus, I have read about most of the "gremlins" that are being revealed and the dealer I am purchasing from has been nothing short of phenomenal in addressing any concerns I have had with my previous vettes. So if something arises that causes hardship, I am sure they will step up and either get it corrected or back me in coming to a resolution. They will not let anyone suffer because chevy says so. It seems as though the dealer parts/service director has a great relationship with the chevy rep. I am not worried.

I totally agree. If you wait a few months you will be getting a whole model year newer car. They will have solved the problems that some have experienced. Plus you get the benefit of 4G LTE that cannot be upgraded on the 2014 model.

Better yet, wait till the end of the model run and all the "wonks" should be worked out. Maybe 2021 or 2022.
I bought first year C5 and C6 models and they were, by far, the best and most reliable cars I ever bought. This isn't your 1980s GM.

His wife wants it for Carlisle. I don't think you'll get a 15' before then.
