Accuracy of the web page is poor. My car got to my dealer 2 days ago and I picked it up yesterday. The site still says "shipped/en route".
Hmmm, that makes me wonder if mine didn't get there sooner than reported. Seemed strange that it was en route for 13 days. Anyway, it is there and will be HERE tomorrow!
Thank you for the link. Another forum member said to go to the "Chat" link after you have checked on your order. The customer service person can give you some good updates. Unfortunately, they do not have a lot of info. I asked if they knew what my dealerships allocation was (Did not have that info) and also when I would go from 1100 to 2000 (Did not know that either).
It's been about 3 weeks since I placed my order, just waiting to go to event code 2000!!!

All they can tell you is your current event code number. You can go to your dealer and ask them when their allocation is going to be matched to your order. I think they get allocation information every Thursday if I remember correctly.

Is your order at a high Corvette volume dealer, or a low Corvette volume local dealer? Are you ordering any of the items currently on constraint (mostly Z51 and the dual roof options)? Low volume and constraint items = you probably not getting your car. Plenty of threads about allocations and constraints. Research them.

Unfortunately I did not ask them about their Corvette sales. I assumed since they are a large Chevrolet dealer that they would have a good Corvette allocation. I am going to contact them again tomorrow and get some facts on their allocations, etc. Mine is a LB vert, 2LT, Z51, auto, nav, mag shocks.

Sorry to say this but their size has nothing to do with it. How many Corvettes they sold last year does....

So true. A dealer may sell a thousand pickups, as well as hundreds of SUVs and Malibus, but if they only sold 10 vettes in '12, that's about all they will get this year.

Spoke to the dealer today. According to him, they have allocations for coupes and for verts. He said that their coupe allocation is filled but they still have allocation openings for verts. The good news is that mine is a vert (ordered on 2/22 - he confirmed that I got in before the price increase). Now I just have to wait for GM to get back with the TPW.

That was some good news at least!
Scooter, if you are waiting on a TPW then you are at event code 3000, not 1100. You need to go to the Chevy tracking website, click "chat" and ask them precisely what EVENT CODE you are currently at. If you are still at 1100 then you aren't even on the radar. Don't let the dealer snow you.

Sorry Diver Down, I skipped a few codes. I am at 1100 right now, 2000 will be next - just trying to push things along in my own mind.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
