I got CoW tipped - Boosted

I have a 2014 base 2lt convertible (non Z51) car with only real performance mod being the short throw hurst shifter.
Previous vette before the c7 was a 2008 LS3 coupe Cammed, headers, stall and CAI.
When I first purchased the C7 I found that the car to be "torquey" but with out much in the guts dept. I guess that was more from coming from a C6 with close to 500 hp too.
Chuck CoW of Corvettes of Westchester came out to our Customer Appreciation Event Yesterday and took a look at the factory tune and made a few adjustments on the throttle response (CoW BOOSTER) and a couple other small moves that made the car go from ohh to AHHHHHH HELL YEAH!!!
Coming off the line in first it slammed me back in the seat. I thought alright this is cool. Shifted to 2nd and car pulled hard again and slammed me back in the seat. My eyes lit up, I put it in 3rd and the car ran like a raped ape and I pulled a vacuum on my seat cushion. By 4th gear I just stayed comfortably in the slammed back position.
So... Here is my thoughts on the light tune Chuck did. He made me enjoy my C7 like I enjoyed my C6 maybe even more so. The C6 was my baby and loved her like my own child. When I got the C7 it just didn't seem to have the power that I was use to. The tune Chuck put in, is amazing and that was something he did in just a short time frame. I highly recommend folks getting this done.

For Chuck get the hand held and he will tune your car to the CoW comes home.

No one paid me to say that either....

Every time I see his name I think of his thread where he tuned a
GM Factory Z06 Automatic Convertible...
I laugh every time! So much for the C7 being the first Automatic Z06...

Take some time to investigate the pros & cons of any anticipated modifications. Interview more than one performance provider. Make sure you understand what is going to be done and how much it will cost. Always get an estimate in writing and make sure you know what you are getting and what may pop up while the modification is being done (other items that may have to be replaced or modified).
Use common sense:
Our Corvettes come from the factory as a pretty decent package. As we modify different areas of the vehicle, other areas are affected.
SOTP is useless......... a before & after time slip adjusted for DA with consistent technique is a much better indication of increased performance.
A dyno tune is always better than a mail order tune as you can verify how lean the tune is on a dyno. If you notice there is a air fuel graph on most dyno sheets. You will also see the difference under the curve. Anyone can ramp up the throttle rate & increase timing to make a car "feel" faster.
Some performance manufacturers/providers provide a warranty for their parts/work, make sure you ask and then get it in writing. There are those who offer free retunes & etc. also get it in writing.
If this is the first time you are modifying a car go to a test & tune and take some time to talk to other Corvette owners who race at the track. You will get varied opinions and views but it will help you to understand what modifying a Corvette entails.
As previously stated GM checks for changes in calibration and will void your warranty.
Sometimes you can do everything right and still destroy a car. Over the years I have witnessed many broken Corvettes. There is always the possibility your brandy new Corvette can break and not be covered under warranty. There is a saying for those of us who modify our cars"If you want to play you have to be willing to pay"
The Corvette forum has many valued vendors but it always pays to check other corvette forums like digital corvettes & etc.
Remember to be an informed consumer

You and your little friend....

I'm not knocking Chuck, I don't know him, I just want what I pay for with no hassle.

Too many anonymous posters and commentators without merit and very definite agendas here...
They are easy to spot.... You know the guy that "just keeps posting" after his initial rant.... HE has an agenda....he's not giving up
till he thinks he's buried me.

Given the thousands upon thousands of tunes successfully performed...Corvette industry "firsts"
produced in my shop over the years, successful tune trips where I successfully tune more cars in 4 days than
most shops do in 2 months.... Popular... YES... BUSY....YES. Multiple magazine articles and cover stories.... Yes, we do good work.
Nice guy? You BET! But, if you're a dick.... I could be one too.
I wish us vendors could embellish when it suited us and manufacture scenarios that make our competitors look shady.....
But, alas..... it's inappropriate and we can't do it.... But... you lucky, anonymous, multiple-user-name-havin'-members can play all day with it.
Most... and I say most of the members here are intelligent and can see right thru most garbage...
Pick any vendor you like and respect on this forum..... Give me 2 minutes and I'll have 20 posts where the "person with the agenda"
tries endlessly to bury them. Funny to watch sometimes.
To all of you who support me....THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME!
