how did you get the stock hoses off? Do you heat them or cut them?

The shop that did my sc install removed them. I then replaced theirs with the braided steel lines. They should pull off or you might have to cut the ends.
Word of warning.... If you have never worked with braided steel lines before be sure to have plenty of band aids around.

A quick tip is to wrap the hose in electrical tape where you plan on cutting, it will help with the fraying.
And hopefully you don't have a "swear jar" at your house, because you might need a bigger one.
