Just finished the 3 day driving course at Spring Mountain. This class is absolutely amazing! This is a 1st class place they really teach you how to become a better driver. Rick the entire instructor team and the rest of the people behind the scene do a fantastic job to make you fell very relaxed & at home. I was in the classroom when Rick made the announcement that Chevy is offering the course now I,m going back. Thanks once again to everyone at Spring Mountain for a great time. Mike K

Hey Mike,
We're going to be attending from 06/04 to 06/07. Do they offer airport shuttle or did you rent a car?
Here's a cut and paste of part of the email announcement I received today from Spring Mountain:
PAHRUMP, Nevada - Chevrolet is helping owners get the most from their new Corvette Stingray through the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. A two-day program is available to new 2014 Corvette Stingray owners for $1,000 - a $1,500 reduction from the standard rate.
I just did the Level 3 school last week at Spring Mountain and, as always, Rick Malone and the crew do a great job making sure you're learning and having a good time. A first class operation - you owe it to yourself to participate and get an appreciation for just how capable these cars are.
I haven't driven a Stingray on the street yet, but after two days on the track with the C7 Z51, I have to say I'm very impressed.
Did you drive both standard coupe & Z51 & what was the difference?

Hi
I was wondering, did you drive both regular coupe and Z51 and did you notice if the ride was less harsh or smoother in the nonZ51?
Thank You
Can you take your own stingray to class or do you have to ''rent'' theirs . I can understand for liability purposes, but wouldn't it be better to learn in your own ride

Mike - that is awesome, especially with the Chevy discount. Can you post details that we would need to know - travel from airport, what to bring, etc. Thanks,

They provide the car and helmets and they teach you to drive this car to your fullest ability so the cars are driven really hard and serviced every day I wouldn't want to do that to mine for 3 days then by tires & brakes.
All the cars are stock so it is the same setup as any Z51 Stingray.

Thanks,
You have to fly in to Vegas. I rented a car and drove back & forth every day. I stayed on the strip at the Venetian and it took me about an hour each way, really easy to find. I plan on going again but I'll stay at the track, after driving all day I was really exhausted especially by the 3rd day.

Roger on the exhaustion... We're staying in the condos.

I rented a car and drove from Vegas all 3 days, I don't recommend that I was exhausted by 3rd day. You should have driving shoes ( I bought Pumas) or a thin soled shoe & a GoPro camera with a suction cup will get you some great video. I mounted in on the outside of window shield & on the top of the roof. The camera stayed on great even at over 120 mph on back straight. Have fun
