Default Floor Mats

I have a question on what stock floor mats, if any, come with the C7? My TPW is next week and I thought I would ask while I'm waiting for the new baby. If there are stock floor mats I guess they are plain looking? I'm aware of the nicer and pricier Stingray floor mats for around $150 extra and wondered if they were worth the expense.

Thanks.

Only difference is the logo. Corvette is standard, Stingray on the optional. You can buy them from forum parts suppliers for much less than the $150.

Do the stock ones say "Corvette" on them?

All the GM mats are substandard. Look at a Lloyd's ultimate for a good mat but they will not have the logo. Not for a few months. 10 people will chime in here on Lloyd's ulti-mat, nine will love it , one will Hate em....

The stock matts with or without the logo are very course in their feel. The car comes with mats that have no logo. Use those and or get a set of Lloyds. I got a really nice set of Lloyds mats without the logo to hold me over until the logo ones are released. The material is 10000 times better than the factory mats.

Thanks for the information. Any idea on when Lloyd's will release mats with corvette logos?

Nobody really knows but GM has an embargo on the logo and as Glen said, the licensing should be taken care of very soon. I'd guess we should see logo mats from Lloyds with a couple months. Heck, I'd be tempted to call them and ask as I too am patiently waiting. That said, a couple members have gotten the nice Lloyds mats and added an actual corvette emblem to them. Even the Stingray fish emblem might look good on a set. You'd just want to shave the carpet down under the emblem and then add some hot glue or other glue to insure they stay put.

My only reason for not getting Logos is that I'm worried the logo would get rotten dirty after a while then it wouldn't look so cool…

Here are a couple examples of members who put emblems on their floor mats. The sky is the limit if you feel creative and these emlems are off the shelf emblems that you'd find on the cars exterior. I've actually been thinking about doing the same and have a set of the fish I'm tempted to play with.

I put in weathertech for the spring, when nicer weather arrives I may look for a better set of mats than stock.

The stock mats are the same material that is used for the rugs. They seem to be very tuff,I washed mine a few times with all the snow and salt on them and they come back like new.

I would not worry about the logo seeing that your heel will not rest on it.
Mfg's are finally putting the logo to the rear closer to the seat, instead of the middle of the carpet.

Mine came with both sets, but all that means is that I am eagerly awaiting Lloyds to be able to supply me with a wonderful set to use for the next x# of miles that I keep this car.

In the past, this meant that I still have the original mats from my '05, which are like new condition, and when I traded my '09 in, my original set was new.

The stock mats on the stingray are no less cheesy than the stock ones on the C6, but I have faith that Lloyds or someone will come up with a better alternative to live with and enjoy!

p.s. What I find interesting is that GM went back to the snap fastener and did away with the hook. I always felt the hook was a better after market solution. Maybe, Lloyds will not do the wimpy semi snap that they have done in the past and go with the more substantial OEM style snap on their mats.
