Cool. I have a 2010 BMW and the voice recognition there is horrible. Hopefully the C7 will be more functional and won't aggregate to the point of not using it because of sheer frustration.
I keep a small 3" x 3" lens cleaning cloth inserted in the cigarette lighter. Works GREAT! It's easy access whenever you need it and you don't have to raise and lower the screen to get it. (I know.....someone will say don't touch the element contact) You don't have to shove the cloth that far down in the lighter receptacle, plenty of room.
OP raises a good point, which i was just thinking about today. some problems have no simple answer. same with the new windows8 and every tv and pc in our house. another "problem" raised by some other poster discussed the dirt on the speaker screen and leather at the front of the drivers door from scuffing when entering or exiting. no real solution, just part of life. i wonder if you put oil on the screen if that would help--hows that for thinking out of the box.
Actually, my wife's last Lexus had a mouse on the console where you hand naturally lays. The mouse was fixed to the console so it wouldn't come off or get lost, but it controlled the pointer on the screen. Worked fine with no fingerprints. There are solutions.
I use the Lexard brand two-pack of screen protectors on other touch nav screens and they are a good improvement. I get the anti-glare and it works great. Finger prints wipe once every other week or so and it's good.
Yeah, OP, I don't know what was I thinking...there is no hope for having a finger print free screen. Forget the stylus idea.
Seriously, though...it's an option...and it works.
I see you have 15 favorites and as with mine, they cover up part of the station/singer/song information. Wish we could solve that but I don't think we can.
