Yes, our first vette. The reason for the question was that my wife and I both smoke (another sin) and need the window cracked. We bought the car for trips not track (non Z51, another sin). My hip gave out from riding a Goldwing all over the country for the last 10 years. I was never that interested in Corvettes until the C7 and a interior (3lt) that would take the long hauls and look fantastic. The gas mileage is not much worse than the Wing at 85mph.
Oh ya, Northwest Pa. rarely has weather you can have the window down.
I knew it! I thought I put a second post here yesterday with a smoker comment but I guess thought wrong. I too am a smoker but don't smoke in my Vette and have the luxury of having multiple vehicles and leave the Vette at home when it rains. That said, even my Yukon dripped when I cracked the window in the rain. If you must smoke in the C7 while it's raining, try to barely crack the window and set the AC so that it's not recirculating but instead pulling air from outside. That should keep positive pressure in the car so the smoke is forced out. If you set the AC to full blast on your feet, there might even be enough pressure to keep the rain out if your windows are barely cracked. Get the smokers package if you don't have it already so you don't have to ash out the window when it rains.
Relax... Some of the guys feelin frisky shouldn't deter you from posting.
As mentioned, I don't think the design of the Vette would allow for something like you're describing. Just man up and get wet like the rest of us or use the climate control system that came with the car.
Elmer
Given the advanced age of most of us C7 Owners, we're more concerned with wetting ourselves while getting in and out of the Car, whether it's raining or not.
more seriously, if you're looking for a quality piece, check with macneill automotive. If they don't currently have the deflectors, you can send an e-mail asking for them to be made. not sure how many they need to do a production run, though.
One!

This won’t help the rain, but maybe smoking in the car! I had a two pack a day habit in 1980 when I got a sore throat and the doctor said he would not treat my lingual tonsil infection unless I stopped smoking! I did and the pesky sore throat went away. Pop smoked a pipe so when I went back to smoking, I bought a pipe. Now, I don’t have the temperament to smoke a pipe so it was always going out! Also too messy to smoke while in the car, so I didn’t. Turned out I was smoking very little, a few puffs, which I inhaled, it was out and I was happy! About 4 years later I stopped all together. Have not touched a pipe, cigar or cigarette since! Worked for me. They have some neat pipes for women as well. A lot cheaper and better smelling (well that is all relative to what you smoke and your perception.) I know you don’t need my preaching but thought it might be something to consider.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
