Does anyone know of an aftermarket co. that makes a rain deflector/small visor for the outside of the door. Driving in the rain the other day I couldn't even crack the window without getting soaked. Never had a car that the water came in like that.
Yes, I personally try to keep the Windows in my Car rolled up when driving in the Rain.
There are all these buttons on the Dashboard that let you control Air Flow inside the Car to prevent asphyxiation when driving in Rain, Ice Storms, Snow, Sleet, Hail, Hurricanes and Tornadoes.
I do roll down my Windows during Earthquakes though, but I live in S. California after all. None of that other stuff happens here much.

First Vette huh? Didn't the dealer advise you that Vettes melt in the rain?
We're just pulling your leg, don't take it personally.
I had a C4 Convertible way back when. When I opened the door to get out of the car when it was raining (with the Top up before I get slammed - LOL), I got soaked. The angle of the A Pillar and the angle of the door windows made for the Perfect Storm.
Please don't be offended. There are just these pesky unwritten Rules about adding accessories that you buy out of a J.C. Whitney Catalog on your brand new $70,000 Corvette.
Remember, no Christmas Tree Air Freshener either.
Don't worry, be happy. You're driving the Premier American Sports Car and a whole lot of other people aren't. Welcome to the Club.
LBS, I guess it's just one of those things the designers couldn't incorporate in for coupe or convertible. It's been something to live with for quite some number of years with Corvettes. As mentioned above the, C4s had little to nothing also. And if you slammed the door with snow on top.....or opened it, you got that, too.
More seriously, if you're looking for a quality piece, check with MacNeill Automotive. If they don't currently have the deflectors, you can send an e-mail asking for them to be made. Not sure how many they need to do a production run, though.

hahah, they are really laying into you. Now you will never ask another question again.
The force field thing was great.
OP, I have not seen one, but there should be a control on your console that allows air into your car straight from the outside with changing the temp. You can blast it if you want that wind in your face feel. lol.
Great post. But seriously, I don't think MacNeil is, or can make a piece that sticks to the roof since the windows are frameless and it's a tight fit to keep water out (so it can't be in the channel). And, to my knowledge, MacNeil is the largest maker of these types of wind/rain channels and they've made nothing for the nine years of C6s.

Agree, I do the same! We also have earthquakes in SC, not as frequent and usually not as severe. However in the past 3 weeks couldn’t keep my windows open because we had pine pollen falling all the time! Made a big mistake with my 1st Vette an ’87. Had the top off when the yellow rain was coming down. Bet whoever bought it is still wondering where all that sticky yellow stuff came from!
Relax... Some of the guys feelin frisky shouldn't deter you from posting.
As mentioned, I don't think the design of the Vette would allow for something like you're describing. Just man up and get wet like the rest of us or use the climate control system that came with the car.

Elmer
Not deterred, I just normally don't feed the bears or they'll come back.
Simple questions get simple answers.
Yes, our first vette. The reason for the question was that my wife and I both smoke (another sin) and need the window cracked. We bought the car for trips not track (non Z51, another sin). My hip gave out from riding a Goldwing all over the country for the last 10 years. I was never that interested in Corvettes until the C7 and a interior (3lt) that would take the long hauls and look fantastic. The gas mileage is not much worse than the Wing at 85mph.
Oh ya, Northwest Pa. rarely has weather you can have the window down.

Ya'll gonna have to give up smokin and get the patch or the electronic cigarette thingie. Either that, or bring a lot of towels when it rains!
....and move to Florida to get out of the Pa. weather!
