I used fishing line to take my badges off BEFORE someone used a screwdriver to do it for me. (The rear lettering did not survive.)

The adhesive is a bitch, for sure - that is some tough stuff!

WD40 is great stuff! My last de-badging I used wife's hair dryer to warm up the emblems, flossed them off, then soaked a cotton ball with WD40 and used it and an old credit card to remove the adhesive...came off in just a few minutes....hopefully the adhesive GM uses is not more difficult stuff, but I am a big fan of WD40....Going to try to de-badge tomorrow, weather permitting, and if I can will let you guys know how it went....

I use paint thinner on a soft rag. Works great for removing adhesive.
