Hmmm... machined faced Z51 wheels. Interested to see those.
I agree. I am sitting in Bowling Green, Ky as I write this and I too am very intrigued by the black machined faced Z51 wheels. It would have been nice to have seen them today but they have not been produced for display yet according to a GM rep I asked today. I did see them in a picture he shared with me and that wheel will be the one I order in place of the regular black wheel. Looked very sharp! They will also offer all of the exterior badging in carbon fiber which I will also do.
I asked Harlem Charles off-line at the Bash when deliveries would start of base Stingrays with the 8-speed auto. He said should be late summer of 2014.
I'm sure it's the same computer system, wonder if it would be possible to update the firmware on the 2014s to get these new screens...
You would think it would be easy enough to update in this day and age, but when it comes to our cars I doubt if we'll be able to. I hope I'm wrong, but I think GM will make this stuff non backward compatible to help spur new car sales.
It would be nice if it was like my iphone, where apple is always stroking their operating system and I just download the new for free.

Yeah, it would be nice, but understandable since the dealer has to update the firmware, so there would be a cost to GM to add new features. A firmware bug is different of course. One solution would be to do the upgrades from OnStar, which would also be an incentive for folks to subscribe to OnStar beyond the free trial.
