According to this thread, pulling Fuse 41 along with setting Engine Sound Management to "Off" will produce the best results as far as having it sound aggressive at all RPMs.
I've had my car a week and still setting up stuff and learning. I suppose I could test this myself, but....
Does Engine Sound Management - Off mean you are turning the feature OFF, meaning the engine will remain in "quiet" mode all the time?
If the Steering feature is set to "Off" that means you remain in Comfort setting all the time?
Putting the system to off makes the valves stay open all the time. Even when you switch the car off and turn it on again the car will sound like it does in track mode. I'll post a video explaining this in a bit.
I have the standard system. Now at 120 miles and I have played with tour, sport and track modes. As I switch from tour/sport modes to the track mode my exhaust note is louder. I'm not dreaming (don't think) anyway, in track mode the engine's fuel scheduling is faster and response is more robust, more power equals more sound. Could the forward valves be full open? What a surprise?!.
