Does anyone here know how many days it actually takes to assemble? I would think it wouldn't be more than 2 days or so. My husband thinks it is 3-5. It doesn't really matter as it should finish production in a little over a week.
I was on the fence and missed the ten day lead time for the 'Corvette Baby Book' that NCM puts together.
I'd like to have one, but I am feeling like it is the world's most expensive scrapbook at $700. I think if it would have been $3-400, I would have sprung for it, but I am just too cheap.
Before lambasting me for griping about $700 on a $75K for a car (after you add in all the lovely sales tax the State of Arizona is kind enough to charge us), please understand that both my husband and I absolutely love the car, but I was the only one who wanted the 'baby book' and since I am the 'frugal one', I decided to skip it. I'll probably kick myself later, but there's nothing to be done about it now.
I take comfort in knowing that $700 could go into some investments that would go towards springing for the supercharger once the warranty is up.
I thought about that book as well but 700 bucks was way out there
I'm jealous of all you guys with a 6-2 TPW. I was hoping to join you, or at least get 6-9. But no. I got pushed all the way back to 6-23. What's up with that?
stopped in at the dealer today to ask if he had any thoughts on when it'd arrive. . .he said they don't give him any heads up either. he said he has to check in with chevy like i've been doing to find out when it goes to "shipped" and they wait for the truck to arrive. He did say that cars to us (in westcehster county NY, 30mins north of nyc) ALWAYS come by truck and not rail and can take 2-3 weeks tops. He also said that he'll wait to call me till after they get it off the truck and inspect it, clean it up etc. . .to which i told him he was out of his mind if he thought he wasn't calling me the SECOND the truck arrives so i can watch it get unloaded. . .he chuckled and said for me he would be happy to call as soon as he saw the truck. . .
I'm not going to sleep for the next 2-3 weeks now. . .good luck to all the other 6/2 folks, it should be any day now for yours to be built!!

Familiar with the White Plains/Westchester area. Mine will be headed to NH, so a bit further to go for pickup. Post some pics when you pick her up...

Congrats mate!! I just heard back from my dealer in MD and it looks like the truck is how the car will be shipped. For my TPW 6/2 he said expect it around 6/15. I'll be flying to Baltimore for the pick up and either way can't go there till after the 22nd so will see how it goes. So close... :-)
Have 6/2 TPW - checked Chevy site last night and I'm at Production Complete!!! AW 3LT Auto Coupe, Brownstone, Chrome Wheels, Performance Exhaust.
Have a PM to Chevy Customer Service to get the Vin# & Build Sheet.
So I see a couple guys with TWP dates of June 2nd and they're already "production complete". Is this normal for a car to be built before the TWP date or are these just a few exceptions?

After watching the 5/12 and 5/19 threads some did go before their official TPW week start, so this doesn't seem unusual... I also noticed some didn't finish build in the same week as their TPW either...
