Any REV Match Issues?
Overall though I would say it is one of my favorite features of the car I leave it on all the time.

I've done it so many times now I want to shave down the paddles a bit.
i don't see why they have to stick out so much when all that needs to be done is push them from behind while driving straight ahead....kinda over-the-top for a car that is not a dedicated race car.
What I've been doing for years with other cars.

Recently responding to a question on the forum I've heard from time to time, over revving, - I was in 5th and was going to downshift to 3rd but I purposely put the shift lever all the way over to the 1st/2nd gate slot. Did not move into either gear but the revs increased as if I was going into 2nd! The Hall sensor sends a signal to the computer and it anticipates what you plan to do! Not sure if that is the issue in your case but must be careful where you put the shift lever, even in the neutral slot!
The second item, I had to break and old habit. When downshifting and skipping a gear in my C6 and prior cars I would depress the clutch and while depressed put the lever into the skipped gear before going in to the gear where I planned to release the clutch. Might even do that when coming to a stoplight. Helps spool up a gear cluster. Read early on Not To Do That as it confuses the system! It said could cause damage (not sure why.) The Tremec trans has triple syncros in most gears, some carbon faced, they will spool up the gears easily, as needed!
Side Issue: Like those who mentioned rev matching themselves -I did as well and almost all my DD's have been standard shifts: The 1st, my 3 speed '41 Ford opera coupe when I was 17, my '50 Ford coupe, modified Corvairs, 260Z, CJ5 Jeep, my first 7 speed, a '84 Dodge Colt Turbo (similar to the Doug Nash two speed overdrive in my '87 Vette, also had 7 speeds,) my '93 Vette, two trucks between Vettes and my C6! Always heel/toed even when the peddles were not conducive to making it easy. Pretty good at higher rpm downshifts, not hard to stab the throttle! However with my C6, for example, I used heel/toe almost every downshift; it is much harder to modulate the throttle at lower rpms and get a good match. Rev match does it perfectly, everytime! Even at 72 it's fun to learn new tricks!
