Default Software Updates - General vs Specific Fix

I’d like to get some feedback from C7 owners on the best course of action for getting a software update to address my console screen blacking out including the row of controls for the interior temperature, A/C, and seat heating/venting, etc.

The dealership informed me that there are two updates, one dealing with the dark (blank) screen, and the other addressing a “rolling” radio issue.

They said that I could get these two specific software updates only, or optionally elect to have a complete download and update of all the software.

I would like to know whether there have been any negative experiences with either of these options.

Most likely, I’m going to wait until the fall time frame before proceeding with update(s) in order to pick up any additional revisions that may be in the pipeline. This particular gremlin has only surfaced on my car once.

When ever you are ready, I'd suggest getting the complete update. If you are patient enough to wait until the fall, your logic makes lots of sense as you will end up not only with the current bug fixes but perhaps future fixes and maybe even some new features or apps. That said, I thought the screen issue was a replacement screen but I also thought that effected cars prior to your build so there may in fact be a software update to address something display related that I'm not aware of. If you are satisfied with the status quo, I'd probably suggest waiting until the fall or until you have a real issue.
