I have never used a temporary film like trac wrap but have Xpel paint Protection film ultimate on my Tahoe and could not be happier with it.

here is link for tracwrap https://www.xpel.com/products/tools....oduct=Tracwrap
NO I DO NOT WORK FOR XPEL.

This is thing guys if you use a high quality PPF such xpel, suntek etc (not 3m heard lot bad bout their films but adhesives are top notch) your paint can remain nearly flawless for years to come.

Obviously when paint is in near perfert condition is time to install ppf. If its mucked up with swirls etc then Paint correction will be needed with transparent films.

Yes it is very expensive and has to be sealed every three months or so and xpel only gaurantees it for 10 years.

no need for repaints, easy to remove bugs, tar, less chance of degrading clear coat from bird dropping if you can swing the extra money IMO it will pay for itself in few years.

now if you want to spend hours and hours claying, polishing, sealing year after year not to mention the rock chips then PPF may not be for you.
