I am about to take delivery of a Stingray. Anybody have info on BRA for this car? I have a Colgan Bra on my C6 that I really like, but, don't look like Colgan makes one for C7
I can let you know next week. I just ordered the C7 Corvette Bra from GMPartsDirect.com. Part number 23142886. It is GM Original Accessory Equipment so it should fit fairly well. I have a trip coming up and for $100.00 it seems like good insurance. It should be here by the middle of next week.
I have the GM bra as well...which I am selling if interested..bought it for on trip for $125 and will sell for 100 shipped. Goes on easy, has an emblem on the front embossed, comes with everything it did from the factory...
GM Bra. The only thing you'll need is a plastic trim tool to insert the tabs around the headlight. Good trip protection, inexpensive. Easy on and off once you get the hang of it..
How much of a PITA are the GM ones to attach? Any sneaky tricks that you were unaware of prior to buying? I'd like to have one for my 1200 mile journey once I drive it home.

As I mentioned earlier, the only Gotcha is slipping the tabs in around the headlight area. The body fits tightly to the headlight. A Plastic trim tool is a necessity to do this. Flex the bodywork a little, slip in the tabs. This is not acceptable to some of the OCD/**** retentive types here (Many). Your tolerance for this is up to you. Once you get the hang of it, it's a 5 minute job, on or off. No big deal IMO...
I bought the OEM from GMPartsHouse and plan to install for my 2500 mile roundtrip next month. Where do I get the trim tool? Interested in trac wrap mentioned also for track days. Any sources for that?
I have never understood the appeal of a car "bra". I've been told that they are meant to protect against stone chips, but honestly, I'd rather have a few tiny stone chips than hang the monstrosity on the front of my new Corvette. The best solution that I've seen is the clear plastic film that has come on the market in the last couple years. I intend to look into this further, I would suggest you do the same.

I dont get it either. I would much rather have splattered bugs on my vette then make it look like **** with that terrible "bra" on it.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Just out of curiosity, were you "Modshack" on the370z.com?

Ha! It's just a bit too much "spread " of the panels for me, and I try not to be OCD....lol

I had one like that that had to be pushed in around the lights on a Viper. Later on my lights fogged up, not sure if it was anything to do with pushing the tabs in around the tight fit between the lights and fenders or not, but would not go that route again.
thanks for the trim tool info. As far as clear plastic goes, I don't want anything that needs pro install to look right and don't want it to be on there all the time. I googled Trac Wrap and it looks like it is just what I am looking for when I do track days. The bra is just for the two or three extended trips I may do each year. I don't worry about stone chips or bugs from normal local driving.

I've never used a bra, but I could see using it for getting the car home safe and sound from a long distance.
