Shifting Question
My C7 auto makes a popping noise when accelerating hard going into one of the higher gears. There is a slight pause when this happens. The dealer said this is normal and don't worry about it. Any ideas on this?

Yes normal, unburned gas on shift....someone will get more technical....

It's new computer calibration to cut fuel on WOT upshifts, improves accel.
The stock calibration has been adjusted on the C7 for improved upshift speed. The C7 calibration has a "fuel cut" that eliminates torque for 100 milliseconds between shifts. This reduces shift time by up to 50% according to GM. The new calibration also allows the trans to run right to redline before upshifting (in auto mode).
