Default Aborted delivery

Well...my Z51 coupe arrived at the dealership yesterday. That is the good news. Even better good news. Bought the car for a good price. Bad news is the car is being recalled for some defect in the competition seats. Only 38 cars in this recall. Don't know when (if) this will be resolved.

They will replace the airbag and you'll be off and running.

Think the sideair has to be replaced. And this is something that can be done by the at the dealership.

What they said .. I think it's just a sensor issue. Won't take long to fix.

But it's always something ...

I have the Competition Seats as well. The Car was built last November and it is NOT part of the Recall.

Don't worry about it unless you drive your Kids around and don't have them use the Seat Belts. That's all the Recall is addressing.

That would be OK but GM ordered that the delivery be stopped. So it's not my car to drive.

Update:
I understand that there are about 700+ C7s that have the competition seats that are part of the air bag recall.

My car arrived at the dealership June 20th and was recalled before I took delivery. June 27th I signed the papers to lock in the GM employee discount (but I have not paid any money). I think this means that the dealer is showing the car as sold to GM. As today, July 2, the part is on order but the dealership cannot give me a date when I could take delivery or when the part will arrive.

If any of the other 700+ C7 owners in this recall have some information I would really welcome the news.

Thanks

GM will not deliver a car with an active safety recall, until the car goes through the recall fix. They would open themselves up for a whole new round of lawsuits.

Makes sense to me, although it's gotta be frustrating.
